Doctor can be very impulsive but he has a good heart. I think it's a question of whether he realizes whose Haru's heart belongs to or does he continue to pretend that Haru loves him. The cliffhanger puts Haru on the spot with Nakaji declaring his love for her in front of Doctor. How awkward.
There's basically 3 options. Haru leaves with Nakaji; Haru leaves with Doctor; Haru doesn't go with either and stays in Japan to think things over. Usually the lovers at the airport scene happens at the end of the last episode not the second to last episode.
It's definitely a cliffhanger: they didn't even show a preview of next week's final episode, just to keep everyone guessing.

True. LOL Nobody guessed right before, so we might end up saying WTH was that? lol. I didn't liked this drama in the first place. But since I've started watching it, I just got no choice but to finish this series. I even hate how Juri acts in this drama, she always do the usual Nodame side of her which doesn't fit in her character as Haru, IMHO. But then, she's still one of my favorite Japanese actresses. _________________

Really?
I might've seen a little Nodame at the beginning of the drama, but I don't see anything close to that at this point...
Her character is really weak-willed which makes it hard to watch, knowing what a strong person she is in real life... So doesn't that make her a really good actor?

Really? You have a choice. You can switch the channel. That's just makes gutless.

Well, I kind of got you there. And yes, the idiocy of Haru gives me a hard time to watch her, but I think during episodes 7-9 I can still see a Nodame spot in her character as Haru. A little.

LOL. Well, actually my main reason for watching this drama is Eita, Juri and Jae Joong. haha. However, the plot itself suck. _________________

Yeah, with Juri-chan and Eita, it's always definitely worth a watch... At least once.
I suffered through Jodan ja Nai! and Last Friends as well.... But only once.
Sad to say, but the last two dramas (this one and LF) with Juri-chan have been rather inconsistent... Her performances have been really good, but the writing hasn't lived up to the quality of the actors involved.
I'm really hoping that won't be the case when the NHK Taiga for 2011 comes around... I think Juri-chan starts work on that in August.....

Good thing I've never watched Jodan Ja Nai! I've never got an interest with that drama.
Writers should just give up on a trying hard series

LOL, I saw this Korean guy walking through my neighborhood and he so looked like Doctor with the hair color, hairstyle, and physical features.
I really wanted to call him out and kick his butt.
That's rather harsh for Jae Joong himself, not Doctor LOL. Joongie's okay for me outside his "Sunao" world. lol. _________________

Not at all. Although Dr has been lame from the very start, I've always been rooting for him too. LOL. And besides, there are thousands of Tohoshinki fans out there who looks forward to Jae Joong too. lol. _________________

I just finished watching it without subs... The end of a rather frustrating drama to watch... Though I liked the ending.
Man, lots of folks over at D-A were really disappointed with the drama and called it a waste of time... Oh well.
I felt the same way about Last Friends.
IMO, those folks over there are a waste of time and what they have to say just rings hollow. Most of their comments are pretentious and just plain annoying. I'm glad they wasted 11 hours of their lives watching this drama they hated so much.
I didn't find this drama as fustrating. I went into this drama with little to no expectations. I knew I would look forward to the performances of the main leads and I would just trust the writer's story to unfold. As a whole, it didn't blow me away but I can say that about most Japanese dramas. For me, the actors left a more lasting impression than the material itself.
About the last episode...
Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:
I was right and I was wrong. Haru left with Doctor but she didn't leave for Korea with him. I'm glad they didn't turn Doctor into a petty boyfriend. I knew their eventual breakup was going to be awkward but I'm kinda glad it unfolded the way it did. It was cool of him of giving Haru his email to contact Nakaji.
The last episode didn't emphasized on Haru and Nakaji 'will they or won't they' but rather the friendship and support of the remaining characters. It kinda sucked that there wasn't many Eita/Juri scenes but I understand why. I won't know until the subs come out but I not quite sure if Haru ever acknowledged that she was in love with Nakaji. I knew how much she misses him but if she did it was lost in the translation.

LOL.
I'm still rather surprised that they watched it all the way through: if I was that disgusted, I would've stopped.
I suppose the old "Can't stop staring at a train wreck" analogy applies here.

Maybe that was my problem and many others: Expectations given the actors involved.

Yeah, seems that a lot of dramas lately have individual performances which stand out more than the entire drama itself...

The subs and a re-watch are a definite necessity... We'll see.

geez... everyone in the show is in love with nakaji (haru, peach, linda, linda's gross-out boss...etc.. etc..). all except doctor who probably hates him.
at how things are now, i guess the ending will be, no one being with no one. the whole suicide thingy, prolly torn some (or all) of the characters apart..
nakaji will be very guilty, and start all the self blamning, then decide to care more about people around him (i.e. his father), and uses the old camera left by his father, travel around the world and start taking 'meaningful pictures about life'...
haru will start to think deeper about her life before she regrets (in case she ends up in a mess up situation like linda, if she forces herself to go with doctor)...and decides to concentrate in being a good teacher and not think about guys (for the moment)...
peach with her weak character, probably will follow suit, do a copy cat, and try to slit her own throat (or wrist again)...
doctor probably will just cry a bucket and head back to korea (after killing off nakaji )
heh.. my earlier prediction for the ending for nakaji and haru came true.. lol... partly correct for doctor.... too bad peach didn't turn out what i expected to be...
