I just finished Gaiji Keisatsu
Definitely worth seeing. But I'd be very interested in hearing what anyone else who saw it has to say about it.
One note: It seems they set the whole thing up as a prequel for a movie... so maybe that's why they left it some room to grow.
Decided to check this out while waiting for subs on the last episode of Sunao ni and you're right it is very well made. But yeah, the two scariest people are Watabe and Yo. Kenichi Endo proved in Fumo Chitai that he can be a very convincing bad guy, but here he just sits behind a desk. The terrorists never really seemed like a threat either.
I was thinking that Ono Machiko wasn't right in the role of Matsuzawa, maybe somebody like Chiaki Kuriyama from Ashita no, , , would have been better.
Maybe if they told it in a more linear fashion instead of jumping back and forth with flashbacks they could have built up more tension.
So, it was good, but at the same time disappointing, coulda been better.
And I have a small spoiler for you... if you care to look:

It saves it's worst moments for the end. Yes, that's right... it gets even worse.
By the way... it still counts as having finished the series if you watch the rest with your thumb firmly pressed against the fast forward button.
That's a rule.
I read it somewhere.
Spoiler held true, and I didn't have a single doubt. What a ridiculous drama. Although I didn't hold down the fast forward button, I did distract myself throughout by playing Hearts on my phone, making silly sketches on lined paper to amuse myself, and held full blown conversations with my siblings whenever they passed through my room.

I never finished watching that show, I gave up I think at ep 5.
You're definitely a lot wiser than I am.

Why do you have to finish the show?
It's a thing I have. Once I start something, I HAVE to finish it, otherwise it eats away at me. This applies to shows, movies, books, video games, etc.

Re: Cheap Love. Sensei, I think you've developed a mental block about this drama. Okay, it's not the greatest, but it's a long way from the worst. I'd never put it in the same category as Last Friends, Joshi Deka, Sailor Suit and Machine Gun, or just about anything with Kyoko Fukada.
I dunno, Musa. I just found the constant beatings a little overwhelming. And the last two episodes just didn't make sense on a realistic level. Not that things always have to (Gal Cir comes to mind) but usually its intentional...
My Review: 4/10
I love Sorimachi and I love Tsuruta. And Ifll never, for the life of me, understand why they chose to do this ridiculous drama. Itfs so ridiculous Ifm not sure what else to say about it in this review.
Except, the ending theme is great. Everything else is garbage. Literally (ref: last scene). _________________
Just started Aishiteiru to itte kure. Watched the first episode and plan on watching the second before I go to bed.
No opinion just yet, except I'm so attracted to Toyokawa Etsushi. It started back when I watched Aoi Tori, but I didn't realize how strong the attraction was until now.
Mind you, he was a total turn off in Toyokawa Etsushi, but great actor. _________________

And what drama was thet?
I think he is terrific playing a deaf artist.
On Topic: Just finished Fumo CHitai. Riveting from start to finish.
Both of us gave it a 10/10.
And Toshiaki proved, yet again, that he can support a really major production. _________________

That's a drag... You have to torture yourself through a bad drama.

Hmmm... not a drama, so I'm not sure this note belongs here, but I've been having a great time watching the "Another Sky" shows that have been posted at d-addicts.
Probably because they keep featuring some of my favorite actors and actresses.
It's a half hour show where a star is followed to their favorite vacation spot by a camera crew, and then said star sits down and talks about their favorite place in the world.
So far I've gotten to see Nakatani Miki in Paris. Watabe Atsaru on Kona in Hawaii. Kimura Yoshino in Switzerland. And Iijima Naoko on Saipan.
There are about a dozen episodes available, but since there are no subs, I'm sticking with just my favorite people. _________________

Started on Keibuho Yabe Kenzo, Hancho 3, Zettai Reido, and Keishicho Shissonin Sosaka (which I don't see in the database for some reason). When I'm done with those I'll be watching Yankee-kun To Megane-chan and Shinzanmono. _________________

Yup. How do you think I got through S.O.S and KKK2003.

BTW, does that apply to moving furniture?
On Topic: I've watched Aishiteru up to episode 6. So far, so good! I have the feeling something will go wrong though since it's going too well for the main couple.
Finished Mother...
There MUST be a Special episode ! I mean I hope there is one !
Is there one ?...
None as far as I know or have read.......
I'm guessing that you enjoyed this drama as much as I have...I unforutnately have to wait for the subs, but I can say this drama is one of my favorites of all time. Brilliant acting and story, can't get any better than that....

couldn't agree with you more still waiting for the subs of episode 9 and 10.
OT:
Shinzanmono ep 1. How I love the eccentric Kaga-san Ep 1 is okay so far _________________
I'm on episode 7 of Aishiteru. Watching a Japanese drama after so long is like wearing a familiar coat again. All comfort and warmth and understanding!
I'm gonna go watch the next two episodes before bed! I read in a review that the drama goes downhill after the seventh episode. I hope not! I'm really enjoying it right now! _________________

You can not have a drama without any conflict. Say YOu Love ME is a great drama.

In the typical romance drama formula things build to a romantic head around ep 7-8 have misunderstandings then till ep 11.
Finished Himitsu No Hanazono in two days. It was really cute and funny. Loved the banter between the brothers.
Now watching M no Higeki. I am rather surprised at how good Inagaki Goro is in this. Never really paid attention to him in dramas before but in this one, he delivers. Hasegawa Kyoko is beautiful and does a great job at being the scary lady with a personal vendetta against poor Mamoru (Goro). Some things about the drama are pretty "out there"...especially how incompetent the Japanese police are portrayed as but I still find its twists and turns entertaining and watchable.
Also giving Taiyo to Umi no Kyoshitsu a shot. I've been getting bored of school dramas but at least this is watchable and most of the cast is likable. Kitano Kii is utterly adorable, Yoshitaka Yuriko is gorgeous and Okada Masaki is the prettiest of them all. <3
