Looks like a shot from her Sailor Suit drama, got panned fairly bad. I haven't seen it, anyone else agree with the panning it got?
Yes, itLd from her drama Sailor Fuku to Kikanju. I saw it and I actually liked it. DidnLt knew it was panned? Not boring, funny, I think it was quite good!

Seemed like some didn't like it, they were comparing it to the movie. I've seen the movie, it was from 1982 and was quite good ...ah, maybe I'll give it a try, I do like her but I wish her hair wasn't so short in it. _________________

I havenLt seen the movie. So I canLt compare. But I really liked the drama. Funny, never boring, Masami in it...
And she looked cute with the short hair in it, I think. Fitting for the role.
Actually I like Masami with medium long hair the best. Like In Proposal or in the Summertime Blue PB.
^ You might be the only one who like Masami in Last Friends: most people ripped her performance.
Just suggesting good drama with masami in; not because of the individual acting performance.
But I actually never understood why people complained about MasamiLs performance in Last Friends. I think she did a fine job there and nothing to complain about. Not better or worse than the rest of the cast. Maybe it was just the role/character which people didnLt like.

can anyone recommend me a drama or movie that stars nagasawa that you would rate a 5 or above?
thankss
The movie I liked that she was in was Robokon, she plays a nerdy student who is forced into the science club.
The best thing she was in was Dragon Zakura, one really great drama, it's about a bunch of 'dumb' HS students who try to pass the entrance exam to Todai.

I couldn't make it past the second episode on that drama: the tired, cliche of dumb students and a teacher who motivates them...
I think this drama made me swear off these types of school dramas permanently.

I'm not a big fan either of HS dramas, but after the first couple episodes it really started to get good, lot of new and strange characters were brought in...plus it does have Abe, he brings any drama up a notch or so. _________________

I'll haven't checked the internet about Masami's acting but I agree with Freefall. Nothing to complain about her acting in Last Friends. Also, like yebisu, I really liked Masami in Proposal Daisakusen. I hope they have another TV SP with the 5 friends in this casts...perhaps a Rei and Kenzo's wedding???

First somewhat bigger role for her was in the 2000 film Pyrokinesis, main lead in it was Yada Akiko. Masami was 13 at the time, she played a girl who by thinking could cause a fire, just like Yada's character. Not her biggest role but it really is one of the better things she's been it, ever get a chance to watch it I would suggest you do, don't think anyone would be disappointed. _________________

Sounds like a Japanese remake of the Drew Barrymore film, Firestarter.
