Now currently watching Shomuni 2. I started the Shomuni series because I sang Esumi Makiko's "One Way Drive" at karaoke and wanted to watch the series again. Love that song!

Just finished all 6 episodes of Hagetaka. Found the last episode a bit weak but damn, that was one good series. I'm planning to see Mother next since I've been hearing so many good things about it.

@ Eve - There's no shame in watching those boys play *ahem* with wooden swords. I myself have seen Fuma no Kojiro and marveled at its inanity.

True, but I can overlook that because the acting and story were so good.

If you're looking for a serious drama with all the above plus some beautiful scenery, this is the one to watch....

SAMURAI HIGH SCHOOL Ep. 7.

Wow. Ken Watanabe's daughter looks exactly like how Ken Watanabe would've looked if he were... a teenage girl. The resemblance is so uncanny!

Despite the drama's Gokusenized treatment, I'm having a blast watching those two dorky dudes Miura Haruma and Shirota Yu (= Sancho Panza FTW!). WHAT A RIOT they are -- them and the actor who plays Miura's dad, whatsis.

Just a couple more to go... thank goodness it's a Friday night-o!
