Hey Tartan, have you seen "Egao no Hosoku" (Always Smiling")? Hiroshi Abe is in it, but the main focus is the girl. It's still pretty good and enjoyable to watch. A nice light hearted drama!

Of course I have seen it, chemistry between Abe Hiroshi and Takeuchi Yuko was great! One of the best from Abe Hiroshi I'd say, would like to rewatch it some other time. I haven't watched Shiroi Haru (only episode 1) and would maybe continue it some other time, haven't watched CHANGE as well. A drama about politics humm.. doesn't seem that appealing to me. And the fact that KimuTaku is the main doesn't spice it up. (Don't get me wrong, I like KimuTaku but only in certain dramas).

Sorry Ender's, I really did mean to share your pain, and I did go back and start watching ep 2 of "Tsuki no Koibito" where I'd left off yesterday.

But as if in a daze I got up three quarters the way through and felt this sudden urge to wash my dishes. And I don't know how it happened, but somehow the disc I'd burned "Tsuki no Koibito" to popped out of the DVD player, flew from the living room into the kitchen, and tragically slipped down the garbage disposal.

I don't think it will play now, what with it being in 47 oddly shaped pieces. And sadly, there's no way to ever replace it.

Maybe it's time for a little "Tora-san".

LMFAO rofl rofl rofl *cries*

Actually, the final 2 episodes are surprisingly watchable. ("watchable" meaning, "I wasn't vomiting in my mouth every 5 minutes at KimuTaku's scary growling and yanking and screwing factory workers over and violating int'l labor code laws") But I wouldn't slog through the first six eppies all over again just to get to the decent parts. Good call, Geezer! hehe

Don't get high expectations, but it's a pleasant drama.

Unubore Deka episodes 6 and 7 - after two weak (read a little boring) episodes it found back to form Dancing

Atami no sousakan episode 4 - pure bliss and it IS the Japanese Twin Peaks. No log lady but they have a chuba chups lady.

Troubleman, drama earlier this year from Sabu. Only so-so so far, Puppy Dog Eyes started off good but it's dragging it's feet too slowly, through episode 4 they're still introducing the characters, at only 28 minutes an episode way too much time was wasted on this. Grumble

I've just started Keibuho Yabe Kenzo

http://www.jdorama.com/drama.1527.htm

It's Trick sans Abe & Nakama, and only 4 of the 6 episodes have been subbed. But I needed a Japanese show that would make me smile!!! And the fact that it's a Trick spin-off pretty much guaranteed that I'd be comfortable with it right off the bat. And one episode in... I'm pretty comfortable with this show.

It's Namase playing the same character he played in Trick... add a few new side characters, write and produce the show in the same style as Trick, and abracadabra, you've got yourself a very pleasant little time waster.

Just the thing for the days when the temp goes over 100F.

The only drama I'm totally up to date with right now is Unubore Deka. Episode 4-6 were funny but not quite up to par. Everything is completely back on track in episode 7 & 8, though. I think ep 8 might be my favorite out of all of them. The mystery aspect was actually pretty interesting and the jokes were just hit after hit. It had me in stitches. rofl I gotta go watch it again!

Oh, I lied. I think I'm caught up with Gold and Natsukoi, too. Natsukoi started off slow and draggy but things are getting more interesting now. I think I'll stick with it to see how things develop.

Still a little behind with Tobo Bengoshi, Atami, Joker and HnH2. Tobo Bengoshi is average but not uninteresting, even though Ishihara Satomi's character is starting to get on my nerves (even though I love Satomi herself to bits Shameful Cry ).

I'm loving Atami no Sosakan's kooky atmosphere. It's nice seeing Odagiri Joe in a drama again. The cliffhangers at the end of each episode are pretty awesome too.

I'm enjoying Joker. Sakai Masato is smiley yet creepy and sexy. I can actually tolerate Nishikido Ryo in this too. I've decided he's perfect for these sleazy roles. XD

HnH2 started off great but it's losing steam fast. I may have to drop this one if Buchou doesn't start manning up. It's not "cute" for a 40-year-old man to be having issues with physical intimacy. It's kinda gross. bleh

OT: GALILEO EPISODE ZERO. 20 minutes into the SP I blinked, then the next thing I knew it was morning and the birds were singing. That's when I realized I could never be a Fukuyama Masaharu fan. Drooling
