In malaysia the winter sonata's ost is pretty cheap...but i dun really like the songs though...and i heard that the drama was draggy

i think the ost is not bad.. but still i have not watch that drama.. =P too bz these days for long series drama

Finally.. at last... I've finished with Winter Sonata!~! Love it!!! but im not really satisfied wif the ending. but oh well... its a happy ending, they're [spoiler] together but it could be better ?! @$#@$ anyway.. im gonna start wif a new drama tonight!!

i'm not into kdramas.. because of its length i think.. too long for me with over 20 episodes and very few young faces.. not that i'm what or anything but i feel a show with lots of young faces also makes the show nice.. U know what Michi?? When you mentioned earlier that it was a happy ending...i thought "they" will end up together so i ask my sister to just tell me the ending lah... SEKALI, It's the opposite!!!!!!!!!!!

Finished Winter Sonata, finally! Yay! Took me some time to finish it. Winter Sonata wasn't that bad. It was a sad story. Very very slow the progress of the story was. Got mad at some points "Why didn't they do this instead of do that?!" Not many characters were shown, only the main ones. They cried and apologized a lot. Music was pretty good, suffered from the repetitive songs which were played over and over like jdramas too Lotsa plot twists at the end as usual. Identity crisis,hehe. This series could've been fitted into less than 12 eps series. Just cut off the unnecessary scenes which it had a lot! The first and last kdrama experience for me. It's just doesn't suit my taste. it had its good sides too, learnin more from Korean culture and its people. Many Kim's and Lee's I'd better stick to Korean movies instead. But what you've said it's true loveless..K-dramas are so so boring and draggy. It tends to built the characters and the plot rather slowly.
Someone always died at the end or blind or cripled or whatever. I got the feeling that K-dramas like to make this sort of theme "The more pathetique the Better". Well there are only two K-dramas that I think it's worth to watch first one is "Bright Girl Success" and the other one is "All-in".

In conclusion:
K-DRAMA = SUCKS!
J-DRAMA= ROCKS!

Meh....It all depends on what you are looking for. In general, I find most kdramas just overly melodramatic for my tastes. As far as I know, there are also very few "comedy" type kdramas either, so there isn't as much variety in the programming. If you like melodrama, then kdramas are good. Otherwise....it depends on your mood, maybe? So with Jdrama, I think there is more variety in general. There are light comedies, mysteries, etc... in addition to the melodramas. And if you are looking for melodrama in Jdrama, they do use more disabilities and diseases besides cancer. Characters being deaf, mute, mentally challenged, or confined to wheelchairs have been more popular in jdramas than cancer, I think... And of course the length issue....kdramas can be so looong.... ^_^;;;

I agree... korean drama tend to be so long and draggy... most of 'em are boring because the story moved so so sooooooo slow... zzzzzzzz...

IMO, I prefer Jdrama over Kdrama on any given day. I find that Kdrama always have repetitive story lines. They tend to get very touchy and sad. It's not that I don't like touching drama, but come on...almost all Kdrama has someone dying or going to die, so repetitive. With Jdrama, there is more variety. You have the romance drama (Long Vacation), the family drama (Under the Same Roof), the mystery (Ice World).. etc etc.
