Okay wait... that makes it sound like it was something of a trial to get through. It wasn't really.
Not difficult to finish... not fun to finish. Mostly it just devolved into something to have on in the background while I set up the day's work schedule. _________________

Just finished watching Moto Kare. Not as bad as some people make it out to be but the story isn't exactly my cup of tea either. The soundtrack is good, Uchiyama Rina is lovely, and the subplot surrounding Sonim was pretty good as well. As for the two main characters, I have mixed feelings for them. Dohmoto Tsuyoshi's role was kinda blah. Ok Tsuyoshi isn't that bad of an actor, but I feel that he's better suited for a show like To Heart where he plays sort of a tough guy. I can see why some people hate Hirosue Ryoko's character in this drama, but I've also seen a lot worst characters. I haven't seen Summer Snow, but after watching this one, I'm curious to see how Tsuyoshi and Ryoko do in a drama with a better story. Overall, I give this a 6.5 out of 10. Not exactly bad, but not really my cup of tea either. _________________

Episode 3 of Attention Please, actually a rewatch, though it was only so-so the first time, seemed to drag during the middle episodes, hoping a rewatch will change that opinion. _________________

Currently through Episode 6 of Fire Boys. It's rather episodic with not much story involved. At times it tends to be good but also tends to be boring at other times. _________________

Just finished Bara no Nai Hana Ya, kinda browsed through it though. Wanted to see why everyone likes it. It was kinda slow for me but didn't see the twist coming, overall a touching drama.
CONTROL - so far, totally love fujiki naohito's character. Him and the jam pan is just adorable. The cases are okay, nothing really exciting though.
Gou - my first ever taiga and really loving it. Definitely gonna follow it all the way. I hope it's going to be subbed till the end too xD
Taisetsu na Koto - likes the suspense. Pink's ending theme is really fitting as well. Hikari's complexity is very interesting to see as well as her rivalry with Natsumi.

Besides Fire Boys I'm also watching Smile. I'm finished with the first 3 episodes so far. It's a really engaging drama about prejudice in the Japanese justice system. Gakki, however, is really stealing the show. She's really adorable in this drama. _________________

Ishihara Satomi, Tanihara Shosuke, and Miura Rieko are all favorites of mine, and they worked their butts off trying to make this one work. But I thought the writing and the basic premise missed the mark. _________________

I watched ep01 of Attention Please (for the first time though). Seems entertaining I'll continue when I'll come back from a Toyokawa Estushi detour:
Aoi Tori: the narrative, the scenery, the pace, felt like straight out of a book. (probably the case...) Liked it a lot.
Bengoshi no Kuzu: not much in terms of intriguing lawyer cases, but, except for Kuzu grossness, I'm really enjoying the humor and the the main cast interactions.
All that while waiting for the next episode of Gō...

^Yup, I'm on episode 6 of Smile and I'm loving it. The only problem is my internet connection is so freaken slow that I've been stuck on episode 6 since last night.
EDIT: Finally finished episode 6 after my internet finally speeded up. Arrrg, I hate watching half an episode one day and the other half the next day. _________________

I just finished Smile. Great drama. It's a sad-happy drama. A tearjerker but one that will bring a smile to your face. I loved the message it was determined to get across, and felt all the Martin Luther King references were fitting for this kind of drama. I'm a big sucker for movies/shows that try to tackle social issues. Matsumoto Jun I felt was solid in portraying Vito's suffering. I really loved Gakky in this drama. She was so adorable as a mute.

I love films that are dramatic and angsty, especially when they pull together with a happy ending. This one however, I felt the last episode was a bit too overdramatic for my taste. Still, a great drama and I'll have to watch it again.
