I've always wanted to walk the Tokaido Road as was done in the old days. Is it covered by Shinkansen track and highway or is there are footpath that still covers this? _________________

If I use the wrong thread, do redirect this information. thanks.
A team of Hong Kong TVB artistes visited Northern Japan and produced a series on the various landmarks of Northern Japan. Niigata, Yamagata, Iwate, Fukushima, Akita, Aomori and Miyagi were covered. This particular link showcased Miyagi last autumn, which was wiped out last week. Much apology that there is no English subtitle.

Before the triple disaster happened, I was in the middle of planning a trip to Japan to go to my cousin's daughter's wedding which is May 7. We were going to take a 9 day tour before the wedding but now it doesn't look like we'll be going. My aunt will be so disappointed (she's 84 yrs old). The tour company cancelled all tours thru April 1st but later tours are still a go (so far).

That's too bad.
Hopefully you'll get another chance in the near future.
