Had some delicious mussels last night again. In a lovely sauce with anisette, tomato onion and a little garlic. Wish I could get the recipe but thats the restaurants secret. Beaten

Daikokuya Owners Opening Yakiniku Restaurant in Downtown

Bishamon, the Japanese restaurant group responsible for bringing L.A. ramen obsession Daikokuya to our lives (as well as Ebisu and Bento-Ya), plans a new yakiniku restaurant in Downtown's Little Tokyo. Called Oreno Yakiniku, this Japanese grilling concept is slated to open in Downtown sometime between August and September of this year and a license for beer and wine is currently pending. Find Oreno Yakiniku at 123 Astronaut E S Onizuka St. Downtown when it opens this fall and track its progress on Facebook.

We're fortunate. I think it largely has to do with demographics. Among other things, there are so many more Japanese businesses situated in Southern California that it undoubtedly attracts more Japanese restaurants.
