Following up on gaijinmark's food posts I just read about a newly opened pizzeria in Little Tokyo. It's located in Honda Plaza, where Sushi Gen is located. The different types of pizza on the menu sound fantastic.

There's also something called Mr. Pizza that's going to open in the Japanese Village...and East Restaurant is gone and it's going to be replaced by something called Fat Spoon or something like that.

Only in my own mind. Nut

The host/emcee was Helen Ota: She was part of the Nisei Week Queen court way back in 1989:

I picked her to win, but alas, she didn't.

Haha. hehe

According to the schedule I guess the major festivities are over already. I guess the next big day is August 20th when the Gyoza Grubbin' Contest will take place along side the sake tasting festival.

Well it makes sense that the major events are on the weekends right. I'm sure the food, alcohol, and good weather will set the stage for a good turn out next week. A little Japanese culture doesn't hurt either. Smile

It seems to be pretty mild weather-wise this year... I've been out there when the weather was blazing: 95F+... Warm even by reptillian standards. Mr Green
