Welcome to the forum. Yup, "gorgeous" is the key word when describing our idol. But more than his looks, I believe it is his acting that captivates us all. He is very special.

I cant believe I found this forum and found this thread!!! I've been searching for 2 weeks now just to find this place!
Ok!!! First of all, Hi EVERYONE!!!!! Konichiwa! I hope everyone is well and our man Yutaka Takenouchi is well too!! I found Yutaka-san rather late, like 15 years LATE! lol ! Where was he all my life?????? lol
I got to know him as Kengo-san through NAGAREBOSHI. I saw this Fanvid of it (attached) and it looked really good. I was totally floored by Yutaka-san's performance in Nagareboshi!!! I then quickly watched WITH LOVE which made me fall head over heels for Hata-san!!! Of course the rest as they say is history!!! Yutaka-san has captured my heart! He is so talented, handsome, charismatic and has a killer voice!!!! My heart be still! lol Im so glad I have now found this place as an outlet for all this pent up emotions! LMAO~

Nagareboshi is my fav. I just love his minimalist acting in that drama. He was subdued yet he conveyed so much emotion. Saying more with less.
And yes his voice- it is as though Kengo couldn't have been played by an actor with a adifferent voice. It was very much a part of the story. And I enjoyed his chemistry with the lovely Ueto Aya; despite the obvious age difference between them- they were very convincing and captivating in their roles.
You've got to see his entire drama/filmography. For starters, I recommend:

Absolutely!!! You write so well !!!! I think He oozes charm so effortlessly. In Nagareboshil, playing just a simple aquarium worker! Nothing fancy or grand yet he brought out Kengo's beautiful soul brilliantly! He is a master of capturing human emotion and conveying it so simply. What I love the most about his acting is that its simple, looks effortless, convincing, persuasive, captivating, honest and effective. I just fell for Kengo-san without meaning to! I was too entranced at the end of it all. lol ! Like being fully invested in Kengo-san! Yes I couldnt agree with you more that Nagareboshi is one of my favourites and special because it is the reason I took notice of Yutaka-san. Of all the dramas and movies I have watched of him.. I find that I dont see anyone else can play the character he has. He just has that EXTRA! I cant imagine anyone else as Kengo, shinji, junsei, Detective Oribe or Hata-san or even Takashi Hasagawa (lol) I cant imagine anyone can play those characters better than Yutaka-san! Love him!!!! lol
Having watched With Love, Long vacation, Beach boys, Between Calm & Passion & The hovering blade in quick succession, I am now epi 6 of Tomorrow (which I am enjoying) and epi 2 of Boss. I will definitely take your recommendations as my next drama to watch, I might drop Boss to watch it, as Boss just has too little screentime of GORGEOUS Yutaka-san!!! LOL ! I still have quite abit to go through. I already found kekkon, ice world, proof of a man, Kazoku, Boss 2 and Rondo just waiting for me to find the time... Im TRYING HARD to pace myself as once I go through all of it I know I will suffer withdrawal Yutaka syndrome!!!! lol ! Writing about Nagareboshi has already made me itch to watch it again!!! lol
Forgive my ramblings.... yutaka-san has that fangirly effect on me! Im helpless and hopeless to his charms!!! lol

Oh, that scene where Kengo said 'come home with me' was exquisitely romantic.
The ending scene wasn't overdone that is why it was very effective. Less is more.
