Second episode of Sengyou Shufu Tantei. While the first episode was ok, the second one was pretty good. It will be pretty interesting to see where things go with the plot. _________________
LOL I am so in agreement with your comment. I mean I LOVE Arata but even I have to admit that he looks like a washed out salary man. He's also too old at 37 to play a guy who's 27, 28 years old.
And let me not even get started at Eikura-chan's hair, I posted in her thread, ridiculous fake hair!
OT started episode 3 of the above drama.
Are they going to give her that long hair for the entire drama? I noticed in the preview for ep 3 that Naoko has wavy hair... anyway, I'm thinking of dropping the drama. I really don't like Naoko and Masato, and I'd be happy if Aya pwned Naoko every step of the way but I know that's probably not going to happen. How was ep 3 for you?

Think they were setting up things too much for the rest of the series which is why they gave Kyoko so much screentime, his part in episode one was really nothing until the very end, he was also just a tad too dour but at least his hair looks so much better than in Control.
Definitely Fujiki's hair is better here but at times I thought he and Chief Niiyama (the one who kissed him) had similar hairstyles I like the second episode more, especially Jinnai faking that Kansai accent. I'm also better able to root for Serina's cause, which is a good thing because it gives me hope of tolerating Fukada Kyoko for next year's taiga. And I'm glad Serina made a right turn finally! Even Fumi-kun was happy for her
Also started episode 1 of Kaseifu no Mita, Matsushima Nanako was suitably freaky. I wonder if those eyebags are real... _________________

Everything I've read by others they all like episode 2 more, must be the only one who didn't care for it, thought it was supposed to be more about Serina being a detective and hasn't really taken that turn yet, hopefully it will. Yuriko Ishida who plays Niiyama is quite a good actress, like to see her role expanded a bit more, hopefully their kiss will lead to something more. _________________

I think the drama's more about Serina's character development than her being a detective. I do like Yuriko Ishida from what I've seen of her. I think they did a good job in setting up the love triangle. I want to see a cat fight between the two female leads. _________________

Been too long since I've seen S.O.S. but didn't those 2 go at it or at least come close to having a cat fight in the show over Kubozuka's character? _________________

I quite like Bitter Sugar and it's been a while since I've seen either Toyohara Kosuke or Ryo. Just started watching Kare, Otto, Otoko Tomodachi...Looks interesting, there's a whole new side to Yusuke Santamaria that I've never seen before.

Yeah they came close to it...
Now the temptation to rewatch that is growing stronger and stronger....
Another new one started, first 2 episodes of Kaseifu no Mita, all the other dramas from this year have been good but that's all, no real winners yet until this one, really good intense, dark drama. Never been a Nanako fan at all, she's okay but nothing special but she's been fantastic so far in this, she's been the one woman you would never want to mess with. _________________

I have pretty low expectation for Kaseifu no Mita, but it's exceeded it so far. It's no wonder that the rating is getting closer to 20% by the 3rd episode. _________________

Started watching 3rd episode of Mitsu no Aji. OMG, why am I watching it at all? It's so annoying... I don't like... no... I HATE Eikura's character. I have never seen such a stupid main character in a long time. Also, even if Arata is a pretty good actor, his role was a big fail. He's too old to play Masato. The only character I like is Aya. I know, she's considered as bad but isn't it logical? She's fighting for her beloved one. It isn't even possible for Naoko and Masato to be together. So, I decided to watch this drama just because it's related with medical university and Mizobata Junpei plays a part in here. Even so, his character disappointed me. Overall, I don't like this drama. I don't know if I'll continue watching this.
^ I dropped Mitsu no Aji. Can't stand both Naoko and Masato, and it's not possible that Aya would pwn them for the rest of the drama, so it's better to ditch it early. Life is too short for bad dramas with washed-out salarymen masquerading as stud material.
hitomi #1 & mrsmith10: if you guys like Ishida Yuriko, do check her out in Gaiji Keisatsu, she was so different there. More to her Chief Niiyama role (but less bitchy) is her turn in Over Time, that's worth a watch as well.

I saw the first two episodes as well and quite like it. Toyohara Kosuke is a charmer, hope to see more of him as the drama progresses. Ryo and Suzuki Sawa are pretty good, but I wish they'd give Wakui Emi a nicer, less obasan-ish hairstyle, she always reminds me of a harried mother with a dozen kids no matter what role she plays
I am also liking Kaseifu no Mita, it's a pleasure seeing Matsushima Nanako back onscreen again with a strong performance as Mita. Wondering what's the mystery with her character... _________________

^^ That mystery with her is quite good, whole show so far thru 3 episodes is a winner, one of the few recent dramas where I can't wait to see the next episode.
Over Time I saw and liked quite a bit, Gaiji Keisatsu just looked up and appears to be a good one, will check that one out. Her character in Majo Saiban was also different than most of her other roles, not her biggest one but the whole show was because of what her character did. _________________

Episode 3 of Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de. The interaction between Sho and Keiko's characters is what's carrying the show. The cases just don't have that much depth or interest in them, although the preview of the next episode looked pretty interesting. _________________
