Another thing there, you Malaysians might wanna take note, states that some reporter named Alan Koay interviewed Hung for The Star Online (one of your guys' newspapers, no?).
I predicted awhile back -- WORLDWIDE attention for Hung. Next Hong Kong? Next Nihon? Stay tuned.
for me , he is not an idol nor inspiration but he is a toy...
ppl laugh and treat him not as an idol...
he was being interviewed by malaysian newspaper? oh... don't know but that... but I think that ppl take advantage of his 'talent'
pity him...
he's a toy actually
william hung? yuck
just can't help it michi.. he is really 'erm... I don't know what to say'
what we can do only feeling sorry of him
anyone has seen his mv?
he can't sing! he can't dance! and his acting in that mv is also crap!
William Hung: I don't want to do this anymore.. give me my backpack back.. you're not my real girlfriend anyway...'

That's the problem with minority stars in the media.
Many of the the critics of them, both minority and not treat them as if there is some "minority measuring stick" that they have to constantly be compared to.
Although many do not like her, I feel Liu is a good actress with good 'crossover appeal'.
When she was in Charlies Angels... I remember people saying "Man! There are much more beautiful asians!!!"
FUNNY... no one looked at Drew Barrymore in the same film and said... "man there are much more beautiful white people."
But this is society as it is construct. This is just one problem I have with it.
Actually I did think this. I don't like Lucy Liu. And I don't think Drew Barrymore is all that hot. Neither is Cameron Diaz....
I think her looks are ok, but I do think shefs very cool... I quite like how she effortlessly plays the tough cookie in Ally McBeal (heh thatfs an old show I know...) with that wicked growl. I mean she's THE face when it comes to chinese woman with an attitude. Just donft be misled by my hubbaing ok? Hahac the truth is c the way she says it in Payback is so catchy that I can't help linking Lucy Liu together with that phase.

I've read about that too, think she's putting on weight for her new movie role.
One more name I remembered, Rosamund Kwan!
Was quite shocked to see her before/after pics in those slimming ads.
Hoho.. i think she did it delibrately.. then she went to the slimming centre and spokeperson for the centre to earn $$$.. is like we've never seen her so out of shape in all her dunno-how-years of acting career...
who knows.. maybe the next person will be Joey Wong?! lol

Even though I don't think Lucy Liu is good-looking at all, I can see that she is a good actress and has a charimatic attitude. She plays the Bitchy Chick like nobody can (other races included); she was pretty cool in Kill Bill as well. On the other hand, I also thought in Charlies Angels that they could have picked more attractive leads (race regardless). Drew is too much on the big side and Cameron is a bit on the old side.
