Mmh, I would recommend "Ikemen desu ne" - it's a really related story and funny too.
"Stand up!!" is a really funny dorama too, but a little bit of other humor - but try it, it's really great!

Hmm.. my dorama urges is back.. I'm trying to watch a good story drama with a good romantic comedy in it. Any suggestion? (late 2010 to 2011 preferred) Thanks guys

Sorry, making a request before anyone has given any answer to yours (@Jaegal Maut), I've seen only very few dramas of 2010 and 2011 myself, so I couldn't really recommend anything

I'm reaallllyy in the mood for something like Hero or Change or Iryu. Meaning: A Political / Detective /Medical story, not too serious but not some silly main character whose faults are the main source of humor ... if you know what i mean. ): [/list]

good stories aren't in abundance . for that someone need to move towards ANIME or MANGA.

i have read many DORAMA'S descriptions and just watched 1 DORAMA

a series of same caliber as above mentioned one . don't recommend series from TOP100 but that great but underrated .

My two suggestions would be Buzzer Beat (actually 2009) and Zenkai Girl (2011). Both are pretty good romance dramas, Buzzer Beat being the better of the two.

Smile is an excellent drama that's not in the top 100. It revolves around a story about racism, and prejudice. It's one of the better dramas I've seen with a great storyline and good acting.

I probably have seen around 30 dramas... and my favourite, BY FAR, was Ashita No Kita Yoshio... good actors, interesting story, and a very "urban" and "tokyoist" atmosphere;

Someone has an idea of another drama that I could enjoy ?

Yes smile is a good drama, but be prepared to cry, as it is very, very very sentimental. (maybe a little too much, but I'm a guy so point of views may differ)

Smile is sentimental at times, but it's nothing in comparison to other emotion heavy dramas such as 1 Litre of Tears and Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake.

sure, 1 liter of tears is out of league, there's nothing that can really compete with this one lol

But this drama is great though, the whole crying is a lot because it is a true story, so we identify very strongly with the girl.

well for me 1 LITRE OF TEARS is a masterpiece

surely i will watch many more dorama's but it will always hold a special place

i somehow like to cry and mostly not cry

so that series actually made me cry and it thoroughly made me satisfied

for me that series is not TRAGIC because it inspire you it motivate you and have a lot of positive effects.

i will surely TRY SMILE AND KAMISAMA

I would recommend Diplomat Kuroda Kosaku (also, watch movie Amalfi: Rewards of the Goddess because DKK is a sequel to it), SPEC, Bull Doctor, Code Blue

I've been away from the Jdrama scene for a while. Just came back recently, and watched Jin S1+2, Soredemo Ikite Yuku, and Last Friends back to back. Now I'm completely hooked again...but having hard time finding dramas that are up to par with the aforementioned ones. Other dramas I've enjoyed in the past include Kekkon Dekinai Otoko, Byakuyakou, 1L of Tears, Densha Otoko and more.

So now I'm here hoping you guys can come up with something. I'm open to any genre except shoujo stuffs (girl chasing pretty boys). I'm okay with both lighthearted and darker materials. But absolutely NO idol as main character (e.g. SMAP).

I guess my gold standard would be something like Soredemo or Kekkon Dekinai Otoko.

^^ Koi wa Tatakai aka Love & Fight is a really superb underrated drama along those lines, most who have seen it like it but not enough have seen it, seems like one that would be right up your alley, no Idols either!

Though one exception might be Koi ni Ochitara: A fine ensemble cast which does include Kusanagi Tsuyoshi (the best actor in the entire SMAP group, IMO).

You have high standards...

For the "Soredemo" drama, maybe try "Mother" which has the same screen writer as "Soredemo." Superb drama and acting.
