Has anyone seen Dinner on Thursday? It's an oldie. Is it a good one?
Saw it years ago. Long before BitTorrent and internet downloads! I enjoyed it. Good drama. Again, it was set in a time and place during the Japanese economic bubble that is decidedly different from the current set of circumstances. It's interesting to see how the economic conditions affected the type of dramas that aired at the time. Art imitates life.

Alrighty, I'll give it a try. It was given to me long ago (by Geez, I think) but I didn't know much about it so I kept putting it off. I'll start watching it tonight. Thanks! _________________

Yeah that is really an old drama...'92 I believe. That is about the time I started watching dramas, to be honest!

Give it a go, Wynter.
I will, except I have to let it wait for one more drama. My sister told me about one called "Bus Stop". It stars a fav actress of mine and also is apparently a good romance. I need something light and fluffy after watching Daisuki. So I'll watch it first and then watch Dinner-Thursday right after. _________________

Bus Stop with Rina Uchiyama? I think I saw that show years ago too.

That was the light hearted romantic drama I've seem though not that light hearted, got very, very serious at times, can't recommend one more than that one though.
Finished up Futastu no Spica, that ended up being such a good drama, not high expectations going in but it really turned out to be a solid watch. More serious than you would have thought, especially episode 6, has to rank up there with one of the saddest episodes to ever air.
Now on to Q.E.D., no reason why, just trying to watch more of the unknown ones. So-so thru 2 episodes, Ai Takahashi is one of the worst actresses ever, she's horrible but her father, played by Ken Ishiguro, is quite good, he normally does do solid performances though always seems to fly under the radar. _________________

^^ Himitsu wanna check out once it finishes up, looks good.
Episode 5 of Q.E.D., this is one bad drama, not the worst though, but actually bad in a funny way, you want to keep watching it to see if it's possible for every episode to get worse and worse and.... _________________
As it has been for the entire series, including season one, the surgery scenes are excessively gory, IMO... And episode 8's C-section was excruciating.

Sengyou Shufu Tantei ~ Watashi wa Shadow ep 6. This show has been a lot more interesting than I had anticipated.
I agree. The first episode was bleh but the last 5 have been pretty good.

That's exactly how I should have put it, like those B-Movies from the 50's that are so bad yet for some reason once you start you can't stop watching them. Actually episode 5 turned out to be a good watch, mainly because of the co-stars....didn't know who Ai Takahashi was, she's the 'star' of it, she's a member of Hello Project!, sort of explains her being so inept at acting, to put it mildly. _________________

First three episodes of Byakuyakou. Pretty interesting so far.
That was one of the better ones ever, though dark and depressing it somehow made for an enjoyable watch.
Finished up Q.E.D, not the worst but very close to the bottom, storylines had potential but the acting and writing were @#censored#@!
On to Misaki No.1, first 2 episodes, no opinion yet though Karina is quite spunky, biggest take off of Gokusen there is. _________________
Started Koi no Chikara, so far so good. It's been a while since I've watched a good rom-com and this looks very promising. Having Fukatsu Eri and Tsutsumi Shinichi don't hurt! _________________
