Hmm, really? I'm really unable the access the site, neither by name or ip, I tried to ping the site, I found the ip 65.75.184.61, but was unable to ping, I then did a traceroute and got:
C:\Documents and Settings\Rangel>tracert www.d-addicts.com

Well, you got the correct IP address. Can you ping any others hosts in the same Class C? I can also ping 65.75.184.62, 65.75.184.62 ...
If you can ping the other IPs, maybe your ISP does block their site.

Yeah, i'm guessing that it is a problem on your isp side as well. _________________

Heh, my sleepyfingers ... But there were a few more IPs in that range. Of course your ISP might possibly be blocking the class C too.
One other thing to try is to use an open or anonymous proxy to see if you can get around the block. There are some sites that list some open proxies (e.g. http://www.openproxies.com/ )
[Just be careful you don't send any sensitive data when going through an open proxy!]

Hmmm, well, I guess it is possible they want to limit bandwidth hogs by blocking BT sites. Oh my! So it may not be easy to get cooperation. Just thinking like a paranoid here ... it may be something totally innocuous.
I suppose you could tell them it is a site with a popular forum you like to use, and play dumb when they ask you about BT. "Huh, what that?"
Or just give up an use a proxy when you need to get a .torrent ... have they blocked the groink tracker? That would be the wrench in the works ....

Hahaha! Of course, he'll say that after the ISP bugs him about the 20GB of downloads for the month.
If you just want to download (though I really wish you could participate in the forums), you can see all the torrents for d-addicts here:
**** EDITED ****
The IP address for these two is 207.26.209.201 so see if you can ping and traceroute to that guy.

is it just me or is anyone having the same problem, I can't seem to enter the d-addicts site.
thanks |
I see the problem too ... they lost their DNS again apparently. Can't access their last IP address (65.75.184.61) either.
Hopefully it'll be back soon.

you can reach some fellow d-addicts via irc on hkm-net (e.g. irc.eu.hkm-net.org or irc.us.hkm-net.org). the channel name should be easy to guess.
regards MoerkJ |
What are licensed movies? I see movies posted there all the time.

Golly, I haven't used IRC in many years. I've totally forgotten how to use it.
I know that my gaim client will do IRC, but I don't know how to get started ... (I do know about irchelp.org ... I guess I need to start reading )

What Ruroshin has to do is pay the ISP $$$$ to connect the server back up to the Internet. We're right now talking about possibly cleaning up the torrent listings of other potential U.S. licenced things. Or quite possibly we may remove all movies and just stick to dramas. We'll see what happens within the next 24 hours.
