Hey has anyone done business with ice anime before?

I basically sent him $22 for cd cases which he advertised a while ago. I sent it registered too so it was $29.50 that it cost me. I was dealing with him through PM and he said that he had to go to the post office to pick up my envelope which was a few weeks ago. I have given him 3 PMs since then and no reply. I have yet to check if the mail arrived but it should be by now. I do have the ticket which I could make sure but I wanted to know if there was any history behind him before I label him a ripper or anything.

Ice anime has bought stuff from me before, but he's generally slow with the payment.

ah ic, hmmm maybe I'll give the PM another week before I do any investigation at the post office.

Anyone know if he has sold anything to anyone or traded with anyone though?

He did put some references in the original post:

http://jdorama.com/viewtopic_4350.htm

All of those he mentioned, I believe I traded with them all. But I haven't traded with ice_anime. I probably wouldn't now, especially after this and Buruburu said he's slow. Sweat

Slowness is different if you email someone and update them. Elt wouldn't have posted if he weren't questioning credibility. Elt's dealt with a lot of people, so in my mind, it would take a lot to cause him to question. It all worked out in the end and all the better that it did.

Because of what Buruburu said and Elt's issue, all I said is that I wouldn't trade with you because that's not how I like to do things. We like to do trades or transactions differently. No need to get all defensive about it. What's also funny is Buruburu said you were slow, Elt posted here about his transaction with you, and you apologized to them....but you commented to me because I said that in response to what they said, which is my own decision.

Um, by the way, I'm not a big movie collector. Bleah I collect them when a good trader wants something from me and doesn't have much in drama or if the mood hits me right. The story is over in less than 2 hours so that isn't as fun for me. I have a spool of 30+ movies on CD-R that I haven't listed yet as well as 4 data DVD-R's of movies. After all I've collected in drama, collecting movies is quite easy....so attempting to brag to me may please ya, but it doesn't bother me Mr Green

As for my dramas and stuff, that's only about 60% of what I really have because it's what I have on CD-R. I don't trade my VHS and DVD's (both movies and drama) to people at the moment, so I do not list them. As you said, maybe your drama amount can increase....you can easily get more than I have if it makes you feel better Wink Whether it be drama or movies, there's always someone with more than me. After almost 4 years of trading and collecting now, none of that bothers me. I only trade for things I really want badly at this point.

I just wanted to come in and give some people nice reviews.

Elton Kong at Studio Oto is, as always, Da Man! Quick, honest service.

Gloria Chan. I saw Gloria's list when I was over at the J-Dorama Trading Club. Elton said he'd traded successfully with her so I contacted her, and she couldn't have been nicer. I got what I wanted, I got it quickly and for a very reasonable price.

Mike Thompson. I found Mike's name at the Trading Club as well and he supplied me with a TV Special that I've been looking for, for two years. I contacted him last Thursday, and I watched my Special this evening (Tuesday.) Not bad considering he lives 3,000 miles away from me.

And here's a big one---

AmRayu! After waiting 4 months to get my copies of Trick and Trick 2 from a thief, I finally broke down and asked AmRayu is I could get copies from her. 10 days later they are on my table, waiting to be watched.

Hmmm. Giving good reviews is a lot more satisfying.

While I'm here,

It's now 4 months since I requested, and paid for, a bunch of shows from a site called "Gojira" run by a guy named: Jason Kirk.

He has yet to deliver. He does not respond to email.

I've called Jason Kirk a lot of things over the last 4 months, but I think I'll just settle on calling him a thief from here on in.

Calling the guy a thief is much too kind, Geezer, but entirely appropriate. Angry

Ok on another note I wanted to leave some feedback for a few people.

I did get my cases from Ice anime. Thank you very much. I'm not going give a thumbs up since there was a severe lack of communication and turn around time was much longer than expected but I did get my stuff so I won't give a thumbs down either. I'm going to give a neutral, at least I would do that if this were ebay, not sure if a neutral rating even applies Sweat

Other person I just traded with is MiszyMurda. Ahhh I hope I got her name right. Very friendly and she even sent first as I was busy with other orders. Very patient and kind, great trader!

Oh and I don't want to forget geezer. Just like miszy, he sent the Shomuni CDs first as I was busy during the backlogg and I had to make him wait longer than expected >< So sorry!!! But he's very patient and has great communication. Kudos to geezer!
