When my hair was that long, it happened to me too. At least when people walked up from the back. And then, like a comedy gag, I would would turn around and show my mustache, van dyke, or full beard. Mr Green

You get used to it.

Day one: It's frikkin hot and humid here. After roaming Shinjuku a bit, and by mistake ending up in Kabuki cho, I decided to look for some nature. No not that kind : p and went to Yoyogi Park. Underway a sign said that NHK had open day and went to check it out.It had a lot for children, some Arashi and a big expo on Taiga and Asadora. A making of of Amachan and lots about Yae no Sakura! I'll post the pictures later by lack of wifi now. It was a good time. The park was nice too. Had been there before earlier and knew about the artistics, practicing etc. Was still good with some really good drummers/dancers. Now I just went to dinner in Ebisu and had the best fish in my life... for now ; )
More later.

^ and it wasn't even that hot today :-P
Have fun and yes I am sure you will experience amazing food everyday :-)

On a side note, I started my summer holidays today and besides trying to look for a job, I will be a bit of a tourist in Tokyo myself. Planning some trips to the beach, a hard core movie day (Galileo and the latest Ghibli), Hanabi near Tama River and the Belgian beer festival Dancing

Day 2 was rather fun too. Went to kamakura to see the great buddha. Went to different temples all day. One of the temples had an amazing statue of Kannon. It brought tears to my eyes. The Kamakura museum was amazing as well. At the end of the day went to the sea to get the feet wet : )
Coming back to Tokyo there was a nasty little surprise when all the international cash machines were shut : p
Had to look for a restaurant that accepted creditcards.
Since it's sunday, all the ginko are closed, so here I am on my way to Narita Airport to see if I can get some cash there. Costs a lot of time, but that gives me the opportunity to write a little. @EstherM I'm in Tokyo for another 3 days. If you want to meet up for a beer please pm me : )

The thing with the ATM at Narita Airport worked out Luckily : ) Glad to have my JR Pass. I went to see the Imperial Palace next: Closed. Then to Hibiya Park. There was a Teenage Lock Festival going. It took me a minute to realise it was a ROCK festival : )
On the way back to the hotel I had a slight information overload sitting in the train with Yura Yura Teikoku playing on my headphones. Could as well have taken drugs Bonk I was smiling all the way Mr Green (

Still to lazy to upload pictures : p On my way to Nikko on a day trip. Yesterday in town. First to shimokitazaki for shopping and another very nice meal. I love the very relaxed feel of this area. It's a huge contrast with say, Shibuya. Later in the day I went to Akihabara. That's the insaneness again. Screaming colors attacking you, girls in cosplay attire trying to get your attention. The combination with the tech stores makes it bearable... somewhat. In the evening I had a couple of beers with EstherM. That was very nice. Tomorrow leaving for Kyoto : )
