I've never understood managers taking a pitcher out if he's got a no-hitter going. Crazy

Roberts said it's because he's a rookie and on a pitch count. But still, he might never come this close again, so I would have left him in.

On the other hand, looks like the Dodgers' got this decision right:

Cubs place Yu Darvish on disabled list

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Cubs have placed struggling right-hander Yu Darvish on the 10-day disabled list with the flu.

The 31-year-old Darvish is 0-3 with a 6.00 ERA in his first season with Chicago after finalizing a $126 million, six-year contract in February. He was scheduled to start Tuesday night against Miami, but the Cubs provided no word on a replacement.

Even though he's hitting .276 with 18 hrs and 4-2 as a pitcher, looks like Ohtani is done until 2020: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/columnist/bob-nightengale/2018/09/05/tommy-john-surgery-shohei-ohtani-angels-fans/1207697002/

Not particularly an Angels fan or American League fan, but end of an era in Anaheim: http://www.latimes.com/sports/angels/la-sp-angels-mike-scioscia-20180930-story.html#

Hopefully they got their money's worth. 2 games for the price of 1. Dodgers win 3-2 in 18 innings!! Victory! Peace!

Even Clayton Kershaw got into the act as a pinch hitter. Crazy

After losing the championship to the BoSox on Sunday, the Dodgers now have the dubious distinction of having the most World Series losses than any other team in baseball history. ashamed
