To all singaporeans here. May be some good news as it seems poh kim is selling some new doramas. The ones i saw at novena had one new one by Matsu takako(Itsumo futari de). But it is selling at 16.90. Better take a look at it if interested for not sure whether it will last long. They had setup the make-shift stall on level one of novena square. Mr Green

You'll have to look up the ISDN number on their website. http://www.kinokuniya.com

The singapore homepage is less reliable than the japanese one though. If you're looking for a japanese magazine you might have to type the title in japanese. It's a good place (if not the ONLY place) to order pictorials though.

using the Kinokuniya Bookweb, you won't be able to get any mags cos' i tried it b4 and i think it's stated somewhere that you can't order mags online thro bookweb... moreover, i don't think mags have a isbn no. only books... think it will be too much of a hassle to put it up on the web cos' mags are usu published weekly or monthly... too much updating and maintenance...
so i think the best way to get a mag will be to tell the staff the title, the issue number and the publisher... think mags have an issue no rather than isbn no.
may be wrong here but had seriously tried to search for mags thro Kino bookweb. unfortunately to no avail.....

Regarding the Kinokuniya ordering of magazines, you can simply go to their Japanese counter (go to the one at Takashimaya; the store at Bugis too small) and ask them whether they have the title or not. There might be magazines that have the same title but normally they'd tell you if there's two similiar titles so it would be alright. If you have other information it would be better of course...

I wanted to get a Japanese magazine not so long ago and I only gave them the title of the magazine and they searched it for me on their database which is not restricted to that of Singapore only I think, because they told me the magazine is not available in Singapore and they would have to bring it in from Japan.

Anyway, I left my name and contact number and waited for around 2 weeks to 4 weeks (can't remember) and they called me when the magazine arrived. Very simple and easy task. There's a limited time they keep the magazine for you so ask before you hang up in case you cannot make it on time.

The magazine (it was supposed to be a magazine but it was classified as a book, don't know why) cost me $28 though, so ask about the price too, haha!

Good luck!
Chris. (I'm female)
