It's all for forum organization. If they want to respond to tear-jerking dramas, there's always that other thread.

I feel bad for some of the new people who create a new thread and are attacked.

Maybe it would be better to say. Thanks for posting the question but a similar thread has been created. Did you know that JDorama has a number of useful search functions to look up topics.

Something a little less harsh sounding at least. Victory! Peace!

Hope you did not take things wrong Daisuke Niwa!

There is an announcement placed thread that says "please read before creating a new thread" Sweat
I'm sure the mods get a bit annoyed having to merge and lock threads every other day.
I thought I said in a nice way when I told Daisuke that there was already a thread of that topic. Gomen if I didn't

Don't worry KT.

I know newbies want to say something (why else would they sign up Wink ). The only thing mods want is for them to at least read the Announcements and stickies, and to make a good effort to search before posting a new thread.

i'm sure you mean well, MZ. and i used to feel that way as well. but after a while, you do get weary of tell people the same thing OVER & OVER again. Usually when i first go to a place, i try to read all the FAQ's first before posting. that's just general knowledge. Actually what i said before, as most people who knows me here, i tend to be fairly sarcastic. if you didn't read that in my post, then i appoligize to you, but i WON'T appoligize for what was said. Victory! Peace!

True enough. When I first joined my problem wasn't that I didn't read the announcements page before I came here; it was that I didn't know how to use the search tool. I always used the drama/artist search tool to find previously posted threads. I was more or less new to any and all forums at that time Sweat. But, seeing as how I'm used to straight forward people I didn't feel insulted when bmwracer shut me down...big time hehe.

I don't think KT said anything in a negative way. Even newbies still need to read the posting policies before beginning a new thread.

I don't think KT_tran was being unfair about it. He was being truthful and nice about the whole thing.

@KT_tran, way to go in looking over the threads, i would have done the same. I don't think newbies should take any offense, we all are just doing our part to make this a better forum and place for everyone. Thumbsup

Thanks Doc and Qilver. I guess new members see it as a bit of a mean comment... Sweat

I'll be sure to try to tell new members when this sort of event happens again so we won't be having a discussion like this again Mr Green

Sorry so late. Sweat

Moving to the DOD forum and from there, it's on bmwracer's, Akakage's, or Juliana's discretion on what to do with the thread...

well i'm a pretty sentimental guy and recently I find my self crying more often at jdrama (mayb i'm no longer shy about crying:P. but thank gods for the anomynity of the internet:P)

recently been catching mukodono again.. and seriously that series is pretty bad on me.Cried every single episode at the end when some touching scenes always happen.

but i do agree with some of the post-ers here that summer snow was one of the really few sad shows i have watched.

I'm sure it will be merged with the other thread. On second thought, I don't know if there's anything here worth merging. Head Scratch

Probably not, however IMO I would.
Other users reading would then get an indirect explaination on how the things work here. Besides, the counterpart thread gets enough exposure so it's worth merging.
If the counterpart thread were only 2-3 replies or so, then it wouldn't be worth it.
