Gomen, I'd post pics of the other actresses in Swing Girls, but I don't have any pics of them.
I give you a picture of Motokariya Yuika...the lead trombone...she is the heart of this movie, not Juri...first to show up for the audition (with a recorder)...super lung power...first to get a proper sound out of her instrument...first to understand what swing is, while standing at an intersection with a traffic signal playing Coming thru the Rye..stopping her friends from starting prematurely at the band competiton, so they could thaw out & tune up...Yuika is the heart and soul of this movie!!

Sekiguchi Kaori (Motokariya Yuika) was the exact opposite of Suzuki Tomoko (Ms. Ueno). Here is a picture of her in Yamakawa uniform:

A lot of fun things about "Swing Girls" were never shown on the big screen. For instance in the "Swing Girls" website there is a made-up description of the backgrounds of the 16 girls and the boy. I briefly remember Sekiguchi Kaori's description as a quiet child whose parents are both working, leaving her talking the dog in the home appliance shop next door. Things like that makes the movie a lot more fun even after one left the cinema.

Thanks, that's a great picture...I've been impressed with Yuika's acting since I first saw her in Sekachu...Hopefully, we'll get to see her eventually in Dear Friends. _________________

She has a small part in "Boku no Aruku Michi". Have you watched this drama?

Wow!!!!! Where'd you get all those pictures?
That's the best pic I've seen of the tenor sax...truth be told, she's fascinated me since the first time I watched the movie...She doesn't look Japanese, but she surely must be. _________________

I ripped these photos off the 'Making of' footages.
By tenor sax are you referring to Ms. Ueno, or Nemoto Masae?
