One thing about this movie and Nodame: the choice of musical pieces were excellent... Well orchestrated and perfectly suited to the scene and mood. I can't say enough about it. goes to watch/listen to the closing concert again

One of the fun things about this movie is how the staff made cameo appearances: Their trumpet instructor also doubled as a pachinko customer: One of their local dialect instructor was the TV newscaster:
