Just watched episode 2 - not quite disappointing, but not exactly a revelation either. That, unfortunately, is what watching Nodame Cantabile too many times does to you - raising your expectations.

At this point in time Ohtake is still getting more air-time than Juri-sama - paying respects to a dai senpai, or has the producer/scrip-writer let their heads.

The acting, though, is good from just about everyone. If Juri-sama gets through this drama in one piece her acting is going to benefit from the experience.

Nodame is one really tough act to follow... And I don't think this drama gives Juri-chan enough latitude to cut loose, I'm afraid.

When I watched some of Episode 1, I kept seeing glimpses of Nodame... Or at least that's what I thought.

That's because Ueno-san is partialy a Nodame.
I've watched yesterday first 20min. TokyoFriendPark2 and you could see/hear some "hazukashiii" and "shumimasheeen" there

It is... Juri-chan is hyper.

I had high expectations because of Oda Yuji.1st ep. is disappointing - Oda doesn't fit in. I think Tsutsumi Shinichi looks more 40 and funnier than Oda-san.

In a reversal of love, Saeko treats Keita coldly and makes him distribute flyers promoting the family restaurant's lunches in front of the train station. Eren returns to Japan with her father. Hirose frantically defends himself by saying that the person Rie thought he was having an affair with was just a sommelier with whom he had business connections.
