This is a drama special based on the book Taigan no Kanojo written by 2005 Naoki Prize winner Kakuta Mitsuyo. The story is based on the theme of friendship and gives a realistic and detailed depiction of the daily lives of two women in their 30s, played by Natsukawa Yui and Zaizen Naomi.
Yui plays the socially awkward Sayoko, a housewife and mother, who starts working in a small travel agency. There she encounters Aoi, the boss of the agency, who's also of the same age. Interacting with the frank Aoi, Sayoko gradually starts opening up. However, their relationship changes when Aoi's bitter high school past interposes itself.
