No I haven't seen it around either. Maybe it's not out yet. But the VCD is. Have you watched the dorama? Will yuo recommend? I heard that the male lead actor is a very 'solid' actor and I like Miho Makayama a lot too!. Is the soundtrack recommended to buy?

there is a soundtrack out for Love Story, but it is under Cagnet and it doesn't have the theme song Haruka sung by Spitz. i would recommend this drama if your into Long Vacation, Over Time and Beautiful Life because it is the same writer of the doramas i have mentioned. also, the cast is very well chosen with Nakayama Miho, Toyokawa Etsushi, Katori Shingo and Yuka. yeah, Toyokawa Etsushi is very "solid" as you call it. not much expression is shown throughout the dorama. i also like Nakayama Miho too. she's a really good actress. i would recommend the soundtrack if you liked the Long Vacation soundtrack because it is very similar in the style of music.

I was wondering if someone here had seen this drama. I love Miho Nakayama and since the two leads were in Love Letter I'd love to see this.
Was it ever subtitled/fansubbed?
Can I get a subtitles version (english) anywhere?
And could someone tell me what they thought of it?
Thanks.

Love Letter was the first Japanese movie I fell in love with. It was a really touching film that director Shunji Iwai greatly directed.
Here's a little information on the film that I wrote:
Still grieving for her fiances recent passing, Hiroko longs for a simple act of closure about his death. When she finds his former address from an old yearbook, Hiroko writes a letter inquiring of his health, and also stating that she is well. But when a reply letter was sent back, Hiroko was set in for a surprise and unexpected friendship with a female who shares the same name as her deceased fiance- Itsuki Fujii.
I thought this film had one of the prettiest sceneries, great storyline, outstanding acting performances by the actors, and one of the best ending.
You really have to see this film if you haven't already.

I think you guys got mixed up from the original question mentioning Love Letter and the first reply commenting on the movie I'm pretty sure the original poster is asking about the drama Love Story because the leads in that drama happen to have also acted in the movie Love Letter (which it sounds like he saw already ).
Love Story is not available w/ English subtitles as far as I know, but the Chinese subtitled VCD is only semi-difficult to find. The movie Love Letter is very easy to get w/ English subtitles.
The raws of the series are now being released on D-addicts.
Everyone in that thread hopes for someone to sub the series. It should have had attention before since the actors are so well known.
