actually yes , ...... i would rather he have a guy. better than that lil sissy school girl getting the hottie. i hate when that happens . its so unfair! she doesnt deserve him!
I've seen plenty of anime from the fansub scene, but some of the major popular anime themes don't really do much for me: like lots of fighting and violence, fan service, magical girl, giant robots ... Some of those are okay, but they are done over and over, so I like to search out and find some that are a little different.
I saw one anime recently "Atashinchi" (My family) that was quite funny. It's a comedy about a pretty ordinary family, and one of the major themes was how kids can sometimes feel embarrassed by their parents. It's probably aimed at a fairly young audience, but I thought the humor was great and could be enjoyed by anybody.
"Abenobashi Magical Shopping District" was pretty hilarious too. Some of the episodes parody all sorts of popular culture, including American movies (like 2001, and The Terminator, etc.) The animation looked similar to FLCL, maybe it was done by the same people, but I don't know. FLCL was a lot of fun too.
I found "Platonic Chain" interesting, I believe it was entirely CG, and it deals with trendy Shibuya chicks.
"Ping Pong Club" was pretty funny, in a somewhat sukebe kind of way.
I also like "Sakikage! Cromartie High" because it is so bizarre. A lot of the humor is very absurd.
Lastly I'll mentioned Takahashi Rumiko Theater, because just about everything she has produced is very well written. I like Rumiko Theater because the settings for the stories were in a little more down to earth, slice of life settings, rather than the wild fantasy of much anime.
Well, those are some fun ones I can think of off the top of my head that I don't think I've seen mentioned very often. I'm always interested in finding new ones.

I got this year's AX shirt, which seems rather flimsy--not heavy-duty as in the past. Oh well, I'm done with this convention. I've seen the light and I'm moving on. _________________

It's been a while since I went to AX. I just love that store!
I have to go back and check out this season's stuff.
Being poor and not being able to buy the clothes that match you every season is NOT fun at all....
I'm so sad that I'm still wearing clothes from TWO seasons ago...... _________________

lol try this one : To heart (gDn[g)
an "everyday" type of anime, with a slight touch of mysterious at one moment.
also : Kare Kano (Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou)
haven't listened to all of it but it seemed promising
other than that, have a look at animenewsnetwork.com for an incredible list of anime. I found this site a couple days ago and i plan to go there to find new animes i haven't seen yet. Already started, i'll have some Peace Maker Kurokane to listen tonight ^^ if i find some time, i'll post a complete list of all the animes i got at home :p

I've seen most of karekano, and the first few episodes of the other two. They were pretty good, I'd say Karekano was probably my favorite of the bunch.
I'd really like to find some more weird humor like in Cromartie High.
Furi Kuri (tN) then :p
now you're in for something weird, i listened for personal culture but i'd have to listen again to catch on the message they're trying to pass. :p someday when i have some spare time and a ready mind ^^
That's a good one, I've seen it too It's also known as FLCL, and like I said above, the animation style looked a lot like Abenobashi Magical Shopping District. Maybe they were done by the same group, but I don't know.
But they are both very enjoyable and nutty. I need to find more zany anime like those.
i'm more into the old school ones (FFIV - FFVI) for story. i own FFVII to FFIX on PS but have finished none so far... i can't get hooked long enough :p i saw FFX but wasn't impressed (xcept maybe by my friend who played more to blitzball than the actual game). I've yet to see FFX-2. I play FFXI which i find pretty interesting. It has a much more long development rate than any other FF (yes, there's actually a story !) but i like the possibility of doing what you want. I consider it a big playground where i can make new friends. I don't always log on with gil and XP in mind.

Im always into trading. Have a huge anime list.
Email me yours ([email protected]) and I'll send you mine. Maybe we can work something out. _________________
The Anime I most like is Prince of Tennis for now. The english subs are kind of slow, so I'm downloading the chinese subs since they come out very fast, although not the best quality.
I also like Initial D, but I think Stage 4 was kind of depressing. I was expecting something greater, but i guess it's better than nothing. Also waiting 2 months for 2 episodes was a cliff hanger.

Anyway, am watching midori no hibi now, hehehe, pretty nice and cute. _________________
