Okay, I'm reviving this thread.
I am eagerly anticipating the weekly Naruto releases (Anbu version). Its a very nice ninja anime with lots of fun moments and cool moves.
Saddest romance anime I have ever watched would probably be Saikano. The soundtrack is also very memorable - lots of good songs. I especially like sayonara instrumental version. I have a link to its official site if u click on my homepage button.
My vote for romance comedy would probably be ai yori aoshi. I'm glad they're coming out with the enishi episodes. really looking forward to it.
AS for pure, uninhibited action, there is only one... MACROSS ZERO. Simply awe-inspiring graphics. Will definitely get a box vesion if and when it comes in R1 DVD format.
For sports, I can't decide between the two - Hajime no Ippo and Prince of Tennis.
Longest anime I've watched is slamdunk, maison ikkoku second (once i finish it) and inu yasha (also when i finish it - I put it on hold at ep50). _________________

Berserk is a great anime series, but the manga is far better. You can find the manga online or partonize the fine folks at Darkhorse Comics, they just released volume one in October.

I never thought of Mac 0 for action especially since ep. 2 ended with her singing a pullinig a basara nekki and controlling flowers, but you could say that is very action oriented though, the transformation scense at teh end of ep. 1 was awesome, I want a live action macross movie, it would be incredible.
Anyways, what is everyone watching? I'm into alot of the current BT releases, galaxy railways, maybe planetes but it isn't as good as the manga, and there is something addicting about dear boys.
Since everyone here likes dramas so much I'd like to recommend an anime I'm currently watching by the name of Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. Translates into something about you wish for eternity.
Basically the story is about this guy whose girlfriend is put into a coma by a car accident, and ends up hooking up with his friend along the way, and his ex wakes up 3 years later... Very dramatic, it's pretty good stuff. I recommend it to all the dorama lovers who watch anime too.
I know a lot of people who watch primarily drama can't enjoy anime cause they can't relate to the cartoon characters, but if you can appreciate anime, I seriously recommend this one.
May I ask a Q? .... Are 'Boys Be' and 'Ai yori aoshi' good? Are these 2 anything close to Maison Ikkoku?
What was I THINKING when I wrote my list?????? I just LOVE Ai Yori Aoshi!!!!! Sakuraba Aoi is a total babe!!!! Okay, I admit, she's the one that drew me to watching the entire series. However, there are other really great characters. I also love the opening theme song, sung by Ishida Yoko. If you're emotional like I am, there are some moments where you get teary-eyed.

The new anime season has just started so there are alot of new animes around, i guess now is a pretty good time to start downloading using bittorrent while they are still fresh and available.
I recommend anime.mircx.com for everything from animes to osts even trailers. Animesuki.com doesnt have licensed stuff but u can browse their torrents alphabetically, thus enabling u to dl some old torrents.
I haven't watched much of the new stuffs yet but tsukihime looks pretty cool to me.
As for animes which just ended not long ago i recommend last exile, scrapped princess, and gundam seed for mech lovers, thats all i can think of now.
But my current favourite is still prince of tennis though. Just wish that A-O would release those episodes faster than they do now

I would rate boys be as average. Its not bad, its not that good either, it was pretty entertaining, but not to the extent that you should buy it... unless of course u've got lots of money and time to spare
For romance type shows I would recommend full moon o sagashite. If u can last the 52 episodes the story is one of the best and most touching you will ever see.

For those of you who likes Ghost in the Shell, here is a trailer for the new movie. The website for GITS 2: Innocence has gone live here. It's all in Japanese and done in flash, so babelfish will be of no help to us non-speakers. The teaser trailer on the site is here. Release is sometime in 2004. _________________
