got a hold of Legend of Galactic Heroes Gaiden series/OVA so this is gonna keep me preoccupied for weeks!!!
arnel98, please tell me more.
I thought I had the entire Legends Of THe Galactic series OVAs.
I am a big Yang Wenli/Reinhard Lohengram fan.
Ive watched almost the enitre series which is extraordinary, and am saving the OVAs for last. Ive seen a few that were fansubbed.
Are these different ones? Is Goldwing in this group?
Meanwhile, a friend and I are both whipping through Hajime No Ippo simulataneously. Its her first time. We are both deeply commited to Takamura-san's humor! _________________

Ah, aother LOGH fan
Well, the Gaiden series is kinda like collection of side stories and made as a prequel to the TV series...
Part 1 is 24 eps and Part 2 is 28 eps.
the TV series I think is more than 100 eps... not sure, i've only seen up to ep 47.
AS for the GoldWing, that's an OVA right? havent seen that one yet... _________________

Im excited to find another LOGH fan.
Normally no one knows what Im talking about when I mention it.
Im on ep 78 of the TV series. Ive seen about 6 eps of OVAs but I think its the same thing that you have. I bought the DVD set for both.
You know I am a true fan of this highly unnoticed/unappreciated anime.
I actually enjoy the LOGH OVAs best because Kircheis is still a dominant character. I like the way he brings out the best in Reinhard.
On the Hajime No Ippo front Takamura-san is about to have yet another title match! _________________

Same here, its rare to find a LOGH fan since the series was really old. _________________

Do you know when LOGH was released?
On ep 21 of Hajime and still going strong!
According to anidb, it was first shown in 1988.
Btw. Have you seen Banenr of the Stars? Coz if you liked LOGH, you might like this one as well... They're kinda have the same genre - scifi drama with epic battles...
speaking of hajime no ippo, that's one of my favorite sports anime, second only to Hikaru no Go... I've seen the championship road OVA last year, and am hoping that they release some new ova's...
@mixx: if your sister likes it, then she has good taste
u should give it a try as well...
its one of those love em or hate em series...
there's no fanservice and no comic relief but the character development is great!!! _________________
