I can not stand the wimpy male series. Sister Princess gave me shudders. Shocked Although I made it through Angel's Tails.

Phew!! Wink

I enjoyed Maho Tsukai Ni Taisetsu (Somedays Dreamers) and it was definitely off the beaten track.
Quite an absorbing series.

daijobu, Hug
it's hard getting recommendations these days... esp for ones that are made solely to appeal to the mass of braindead couch potatoes.

i think Love Hina really started the US harem craze, and ill admit that I enjoyed watching it, since it was probably the first real harem comedy I saw...

Ugh, wimpy male shows is what I hate more than those incest like "onii-chan" shows. You know the ones wearing thick glasses, shy, no selfesteem and get to live with tons with girls? - it's been done a THOUSAND TIMES. stop making that crap already.

It's not all that bad though, at this moment I really recommend Angel Heart, Eureka 7 and Monster.

For real, the problem doesn't only lie with shows alone, the problem is that most of the fansubbing groups are picking these to sub cos they'll know the mass dig that crap bleh ignoring possible interesting stuff.

oh wait, did I mention these "Maid" shows... Beaten

I lump the maid shows with the harem shows. but i think the groups wouldn't sub something that they didn't enjoy.

^ very true. Groups would not sub things that they do not enjoy.

@krim I really liked Monster when I saw it so I agree with you, I also reccomend it. It is not very well known series at the moment though. As for Eureka 7 I am also watching that at the moment, it is quite a good show.

Honey and Clover might be the best new anime Ive seen in a year.
Im midway through. I love the art college setting. The characters are more varied and interesting than any Ive come across in ages. I hope it manages to maintain throughout.
Fingers crossed Fingers crossed
