UC Irvine has a course on anime and manga...go figure that a school with the most Asians of any college or university with the exception of the University of Hawaii would have such a class

you're welcome....well good luck...japanese can be a challenging class but since you have an interest and it would be so different from your technical classes it might come as welcome change of pace. i dunno how it is at your school tho...but the only thing i didn't relish was the fact that it was the only class i had that met everyday.....and you can't skip because attendance was part of the grade......i only took a couple of years but even third year japanese was every dayem day....

Not to spoil anything, but Bleach is starting to get interesting again. The random sillyness aka following around the almighty Bounto is over:

Bounto are attacking Soul Society
okay, so i got past that little 5 episode filler introducing the 3 new characters.
my question is... is the Bound arc just another cliche

shadow group trying to take over/reshape the world, and ONE sole person from that group is trying to stop them, so Ichigo and friends must help out of ethics
and how long is the Bound arc.
i watched some eps, just so i could burn them to dvd and clear more room on the drive.

edit: so I watched a few more, enough to burn 1 DVD and free up 4gbs, seems like more of the same cliche
(spoiler is plot up through ep 73)

Menevolent being gathers a group of like minded minions... he seems good at first, esp to the love interest, but in actuality.. he's a rival in evilness to satan himself.
damn, that plot's been done.. over and over and over and over... it's the same as Orochimaru in Naruto.. and Ichigo is the same as Naruto in personality, easy to upset, not too bright, gets by on luck and those around him... a person who IRL would've been beaten to a pulp and had his kidney's stolen to sell on the black market. Oh damn, their hair style is almost the same too, oh gawd.. similar colors...
i dont know when i started this rant, but i'll stop now.
