Finished both Ouran High School Host Club and Air Gear just now.

Edit: Checking out Mahou Sensei Negima on Youtube.
My brother is collecting the Manga. So far, the character doesn't look as nice as in the Manga....for some odd reason Sweat
It says the girls are in high school....but i thought in the manga their suppose to be in middle school or so Head Scratch

i think the "best" new anime that i've been following thus far is Welcome to the NHK.

i have to admit i recently re-watched "Gankutsuou." this is seriously one of the best animes i've EVER seen.....it's a MASTERFUL piece of storytelling.

it won an award in Japan and it's highly rated on www.animenewsnetwork.com

i still needa get more eps ot Welcome to NHK. I've seen 2 eps so far.

Saw bits of the Gankutsuou trailer on Youtube.
Looks.....different and odd in a sense. Maybe something my brother might be interested in. Will look a bit more into this one.

Gankutsuou is very odd looking and very different but it has all the drama of its inspiration: the classic literary work "The Count of Monte Cristo" by Alexander Dumas which it is based on...it is a GRAND piece of animation with compelling characters, mystery, action, and HIGH dorama....i absolutely loved it.

if you wanna watch it i can burn it for you...it fits on one disc.

Welcome to the NHK...i characterize as the sleeper hit of 06....a thoroughly unconventional dorama with comedy and dire drama to boot....excellent.

it's more like a comic dorama than an anime...it's a very tongue-in-cheek although incisive look at modern Japanese social pathologies....

ask krim & Terryb...i think they both enjoy the series as well. Mr Green
