hmmm, so how's this drama fairing so far?
Watched three episodes so far, I can say that I really like the storyline.
It's all about Nightlife and Clubs, Hostesses etc ..
Looking forward to how the relationship will develop between Naoto and ayaka ..

I think it's a really exciting drama
the fashion and plots are good
Both Rosa and Shota (Matsuda Shota) act well
It's a pity that there are only 9 episodes
btw, the theme song is excellent

Kaoru is a bit crazy in ep8, it seems it will be very exiting in ep8~
also, Hayami Mocomichi is so handsome in ep8, good interaction with Rosa

I started watching this series without any expectations, and so I was glad that it turn out pretty good. But I thought it was pretty short...this coming weekend, the last ep will air...so that makes it 8 episodes in total. Hoping for a decent ending now.

But in last week's ep, in the forecast of the next ep at the end, it says "Last Episode" @@//
And I've made a mistake, counting today's ep, it will 9 in total.

I just watched this last nite, now I'm up to ep 8 .... it's good!!!! I know the story is kinda immoral but the intrigue was cool! full of conspiration. Rosa's acting a bit stiff but as time goes she look better.
Shota is the usual character, I found it slightly similiar with his character in Liar Game, cynical and bitter. When he enter the sauna room topless, he is so skinny! I can see his bones stick out :p also why would he using sunnies at night? apart from it, I kinda enjoy his present ..
Is it just me or Matsuda Shota's getting skinnier in Jotei? I don't recall him being that skinny in Liar Game.
Anyhow, the story of Jotei, I think, is good. It's a dark dorama with lots of betrayal, back-stabbing and cat-fights. The only thing that (in my personal opinion) doesn't add up is the relationship between Naoto and Ayaka. I don't think it's developed well in the story, it was too rushed. I mean, how they first met was very well put, but then... the relationship was forced and so it doesn't make sense to me.
Here's a Yakuza (repeat, a yakuza, supposedly-come-from-a-dark-underworld-which-involes-dark-nightlife-which-includes-lots-of-hostess yakuza), meeting a girl from out of nowhere several times only, listen to her story and ambition only briefly, then he suddenly has deep feelings for her, deep enough to make him quits being a yakuza and aims to become a king of kurofuku?? I mean, that sudden?? Not making any sense.
But apart from the poor relationship development, the story is superb and pretty realistic. Ayaka doesn't always win, but she evolved, took the failure as learning experience, and so it turned her into an even stronger person. Now I know being a woman IS a power.
Oh btw, I still think Matsuda Shota is best with Erika Toda on screen.
