Actually x japan has some very nice ballads... i really like the piano influence of their leader yoshiki, it gives alot of their songs a different feel to it apart from other rock bands. I would say X japan is the most special band i've ever listened to up till now. At first i hated them cos of the way their lead singer sings... almost like screaming. But somehow i suddenly caught the style and idea of their songs... and loved them ever since. Its really a big pity they've disbanded...

yeah i love endless rain too... especially the version they sang at their last concert... so touching...

Also like other ballads like "the last song", crucify my love, longing, unfinished, tears, forever love...

as for their more rock songs, i would recommend silent jealousy, weekend, and kurenai for starters... if you like those you will probably like the others as well...

i feel that they are the most "artistic" band other than maybe dir en grey, who also has some very unique songs.

I can't believe it!!! Angry There are so little L'arc~en~ciel fans on this board. I mean come on! They're so great! Hyde's style is probably one of the hardest out there, Ken's guitar skills are very impressive, Tetsu's bass playing is extremely hard (I play guitar but I sometimes play his bass lines because they're so fun to play), and everything is balanced out by Yukihiro on drums. I think people on the board need to give them more of a chance. Or maybe people like them, but I'm just paranoid and don't realize people like them. Big Grin Sorry for the rant.... me being new and all taking on established members Sweat

Gomen, gomen m(_ _)m

My fav. singer and bands are
-Utada Hikaru (the first j-singer that i listen to)
-Namie Amuro (a very good singer too)
-Ayumi Hamasaki (the singer that got me into really listening to j-music though i dun listen to her songs as much as b4)
-Do As Infinity (one of the only band where i think like all their songs are dman good)
-X-Japan (just got into their music also about a month ago... really like their ballads)
-Zone (Nice & sometimes catchy tunes)
-ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION (just found out about them, their song was used for Naruto's 2nd OP)
-Takachi Sorimachi (so far i have only heard Poison but i really like it)
