I'm not very into J-Pop and I only have 1 fav. group. They are.... SPEED! However, they've disbanded quite a while ago... I love their songs and lively appearance.... Any of you heard of them?

Yes http://global.yesasia.com/en/PrdDept.aspx/pid-1002898667/code-j/section-music/
They prolly got together cos none of their solo careers went to the approprioate direction as they were expectin. They succeeded better as a band, not as solos. I haven't heard much from Hitoe and Takako. Eriko and Hiro at least achieved something. It's been a few years since they released the last album. The group broke up and everyone went to pursue their solo careers.
We'll see what kinda reception they have from the audience, as a "come back" Speed.

Yeah, hitoe flopped as an artist (as in painting) and takako had a couple of hits right after the break-up, but not after that.

I listened to Matsu Takako's highly anticipated album, Harvest Songs. The songs were nice, couldn't rememer the titles since I put a random play on winamp and the texts were in Japanese. Gotta listen to it again.

I'm currently listenin to Emyli's latest album as I type, Flower of Life. What can I say? I have never listened to Emyli before, she's new to me. The songs have the taste of r&b and pop, sounds a bit similar to BoA. Some of the songs are sung in English.

I have a tape with Jpop songs that I got from a Japanese friend of mine years ago. It's full of songs by INFIX (her favorites at the time), Tube, Noriyuki Makihara & others. I loved that tape (!!) and now I'm fixing to make another.

Since I'm very out of touch... I have to ask: what's hot in Japan right now? I'm looking for songs that are common knowledge to everyone over there, so they don't have to be super new. Thanks!

They went solo... Wink

Oh wait, Pemu said they're coming back together... cool! They're coming back again?! Wooh! AAh! Yay! Jumpie Really great!

Hmm... BOA's not bad... And I love the theme song of "Shotgun Marriage", "Is it you" by Hitomi... That's a great song! Hmm... Anymore singers... I must listen to more J-Pop. So far the songs I've heard are pretty lively... I love Korean songs because they're so slow and sad.... I cry while I sing them... Sweat Crazy Hehe!

hi miho.. Mr Green

as for matsu takako's pv.. yeah i thought it was boring too.. hehe but she's really pretty in there. maybe they were going for an innocent, simple matsu takako feeling.. the song IS called [hontou no kimochi]..
