at least you have bart and cal train....we have sh*t down here....but then again....if you smart you'll know how to take alternate routes to minimize your pain.....if you rely on a bridge you are f*ked....one time i got stuck on the san mateo bridge going back home to san mateo for almost 2 hours because some fool got into an an accident....when i scoured my car and found one lone cigarette i felt i had one the mega millions grand prizes...because otherwise i was going to jump off....
However, from Fremont, there's no easy way to get to Caltrain. I could...take BART up the East Bay, through Oakland to SF. Then I could transfer at Powell (or Embarcadero) to Muni light rail to the Caltrain station at 4th and King. Or...take BART down the peninsula to Millbrae to transfer to Caltrain..... Unless of course, I take the Dumbarton Express bus (on weekdays??) to the Palo Alto Caltrain station... Like I said, we have public transit, but they're not connected efficiently.

Yikes, sorry to hear that. I've never taken Metrolink (go figure). It's difficult taking the car away from us.
I forgot to mention that Palo Alto is a meer 14 miles from Fremont. There is a plan to use the defunct Dumbarton rail line, but I'll be President before that happens....yeah it'll never happen.

lol Metrolink.
I COULD take trains to work, there's a ML stop near my house, and a light rail station here at LAX, but it would take 2+ hours (not to mention, 4 trains, 1 bus) to get from my house to the airport.
i'd have to leave my house at 4am to get to work on time.

the buses are a more ancient joke....i remember workin' out at the gym and while i was on the treadmill...after a 45 minutes, no less...the fool who was outside waiting for the bus was still there.

The buses in Hawaii are also a freakin' joke.
I don't understand why 3 buses (on the same route) come one after the other. Then, if you miss 'em you're stuck waiting for another 30 minutes or so. _________________
