Ever use DVDShrink? It'll compress that 7GB to fit a 4GB DVD disc with very little in the way of artifacts... Victory! Peace!

I am having problems trying to upload to MU, even after I tried shrinking the file to around 4GB. I'll try to work out how to start a torrent and let you know asap.

Well I watched it through without subtitles, so my impression is tempered by that fact. First, despite being titled Naoko and top-billing going to Juri-chan, the movie seems to be centered around Yusuke.
Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:

Directing was pretty good. In fact the director seems to be one of the few people in the world who actually knows how to use slow motion correctly. No crazy or stupid filming angles or styles that seem to be the trend these days. Just good old no-gimmick filming.

Acting wise, Juri-chan's performance is quite a bit different from what we're use to. Even her less peppy characters tend to be outspoken and strong. Naoko is a very quiet, solemn character who says little. However, one of the benefits of having no subtitles to read is being able to catch other nuances. Here, it's Juri-chan's ability to project Naoko's feelings without dialogue. There are scenes, like the first water handout, that you can literally see Naoko's pleading and pain just from Juri-chan's eyes. You can understand Naoko's story without understanding a single line of dialogue. Haruma was all right, but you can see the difference between the two leads. He seems to fall under the "Takuya Kimura school of only three expressions" acting, though that may have been the intent of the character. Or not. hehe

The movie drags at times, especially right before the middle, but that may have been due to not having subtitles to follow the story. I wouldn't mind giving it another viewing if subtitles become available.

Yay, a first review...! Victory! Peace!

Maybe I'll try watching it sometime this weekend.

No surprise, but this movie has got a lot of fangirl buzz because that pretty boy Haruma... I hope Juri-chan's performance isn't overshadowed (yet again) by the squeals of fangirl "Ooohs" and "Aaahs," like in Last Friends... Shake Head bleh

Unfortunately, that's likely to be the case. The movie, despite its title, really ends up being about Yusuke. Or so it seems when watched without subtitles. Screentime and amount of dialouge is his. Performance wise there really is no comparison. The scene where she hands him a bottle of water during the race made me sit-up and notice when I was just skipping around through the movie. No dialogue and in slo-mo, you really see Juri-chan's skills in those seconds. Haruma on the other hand....... hehe

Preferably, use uTorrent - http://www.utorrent.com/ (I'm using it under Linux with WINE)

Tjhen open it, menu "File/Create New Torrent... CTRL+N".
"Add file" (or "directory" if it's few files in the directory), in "Trackers" window add these trackers:
Code:

http://open.tracker.thepiratebay.org/announce
http://www.torrent-downloads.to:2710/announce
http://denis.stalker.h3q.com:6969/announce
http://www.sumotracker.com/announce

check "Start seeding" and use button "Creat and save as" - save to Desktop (for ieasier handling).
Then open this torrent file with your uTorrent, right click on the file in torrent list and use "properties".
In the openned window at the left bottom side check "Initial seed" radio button (this saves your bandwith without compromizing uploads - you upload only this amount that the file have and no more, the rest will be carried by other downloaders)
And now you will be ready to post it here (you must upload it somewere to dl for people).

Thank you for the very clear instructions. I'll post a link as soon as I'm done ripping and compressing the disc.

Here is a link to the torrent file:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=G2BT4NFM

Please bear in mind this is a very big file (7GB) of the IFO folder for the Naoko movie. There are no subtitles at all.

Mind if I download it as well? I have the .avi you uploaded before, but having the ISO would be nice as well.
