I didn't even realize there was a thread for this! After finishing the movie, I felt like it wasn't that great... it dragged (close to 2 hours) and the pacing was really weird. Might give it another watch when I have a clearer mind, though.

It's tough without subs... Especially if the plot/story is more complex and is more dialog driven than action driven. Sweat

Finished ripping - the whole thing is over 7G. Compressing into a RAR file will take over 2 hours. God knows how long it'll take to upload. Sweat

If it's too much trouble, don't bother... Without the subs, it's not that important... I can live with the avi. Smile

Ever use DVDShrink? It'll compress that 7GB to fit a 4GB DVD disc with very little in the way of artifacts... Victory! Peace!

It's a great little program: along with compressing a DVD-9 to a DVD-5 disc, it'll allow you to strip out extras that you don't want, like additional languages, trailers, music videos, etc.
