If it gets the movie subtitled, then I don't care if it's Haruma, SMAP, or other fangirl obsessions. Based on the history of "vehicle" movies for the latest heartthrobs, I aniticipate Juri-chan stealing the show anyways.

She shouldn't have to steal the show, since the movie is (apparently) focused (and titled) around her character, Naoko... Though the ads seem to be playing up her pretty-boy co-star...

You didn't think I'd let this Juri-chan movie go un-threaded, did you??

It's tough without subs... Especially if the plot/story is more complex and is more dialog driven than action driven.

It is the purest available form for this movie, ne?
I have the ISOs for Turtles, Joze, Warau, Rainbow, and Heavenly Forest...

Finished ripping - the whole thing is over 7G. Compressing into a RAR file will take over 2 hours. God knows how long it'll take to upload.

If it's too much trouble, don't bother... Without the subs, it's not that important... I can live with the avi.
Ever use DVDShrink? It'll compress that 7GB to fit a 4GB DVD disc with very little in the way of artifacts...

No trouble, just time-consuming. Never heard of DVDShrink, maybe I'll take a look at it.

It's a great little program: along with compressing a DVD-9 to a DVD-5 disc, it'll allow you to strip out extras that you don't want, like additional languages, trailers, music videos, etc.
Here's the link: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DVD_Shrink
