Katori "Rose" Blooms, Pilot's Rating 22.4% translated by Yanie
The first episode of FujiTV drama, Bara no nai Hanaya (Mondays, 9 PM) starring SMAP's Katori Shingo, got the rating of 22.4%, the highest rating so far in January. This is also the highest rating in 1.5 year for original script (which is not an adaptation of novel nor manga). Furthermore, in the occasion of the drama promotion, the original "Bara no nai Hanaya" eco bag sold at Samanta Thavasa was all sold out on the first day, a total of 5000 bags. It seems like a sign that there will be a "Rose Boom" trend from now on.
In this drama stagnation period, Katori's getsuku finally made it. In January 2006, Katori's Saiyuuki started with a rating of 29.2%. Since then, in this 1.5 year, dramas that started with a rating over 20% were only about 2 dramas, including Galileo. Katori gave a comment, "The drama's story couldn't be revealed much before the broadcast of the first episode, so I think all the audience understand now, the reason we couldn't talk much about it. But there are still many more things from this drama that we cannot reveal. So please, watch the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and to the very last episode!".
The scene where Katori's role, Eiji saved and embraced Takeuchi Yuko's role, Mio, from the traffic in the middle of the rain at the intersection, hit the highest rating point of 26.2%. With Nojima Shinji's unpredictable developments writing style, it is predicted the rating will increase for the next episodes.

Ah, thank you so much for that info! Yoshimata Ryo was the soundtrack composer for Sleeping Forest, too. And this drama also have the same director as Sleeping Forest. Then the singer of Sleeping Forest's themesong is this drama themesong's singer's wife, lol!
No wonder the feel of the titleback resembles Sleeping Forest alot. Kimura Takuya was running, searching for Nakayama Miho, in the forest, a green atmosphere (it was autumn). Katori Shingo was running, searching for Takeuchi Yuko, in the snowy mountain, a white-blueish atmosphere (in winter)^^
I loved Sleeping Forest's music too!
Yoshimata Ryo also composed for Pride soundtrack, didnt he? _________________

Sleeping Forest, PRIDE, GIFT, Sorakara were some of my favorite soundtracks of all time! I just never knew that it was by the same composer. I love Bara's soundtrack too! Can't wait for the next episode!
