I -almost- feel bad for Sousuke. I think that scene with him being so conflicted at Michiru crying after the rape (for real) scene, preparing to hit her but putting his fist down, then finally him seeing her look so happy in photos and realizing he's a monster was very well done. If a scene like that was shown throughout the series, I think his character would be much more than the stupid antagonist he's been for 10/11 episodes, and it would've even made him tragic. But I guess that's the big bombshell they needed to drop for the end of this chapter storyline...
The preview for ep11 makes me extremely hopeful. I spotted a preggers Michiru on the back of a bike -- hopefully that's Ruka? I really want them to be reunited now that neither of them are (presumably) having drama-filled lives.
A very dissatisfying ending. Quite unrealistic. I don't believe that a man like Sousuke will go through with suicide idea. He tried that once, couldn't do it. And what's with that dress? Gah. Sleeping beauty. He is not exactly the type.
During the last few minutes I kept screaming at Michiru "Leave you bags and RUN!!!!!" But no...
And then he had a nerve to pretend that he is suffering about what happened more than she did!
Nah. What I believe had happened - Setsuna finaly decided that she had enough of all of it, came down from the Gates of Time (even though a little too late), and repeaditly hit him with her Dead Scream. And then, laughing madly, put that dress on him.

Haven't seen it yet, but that's what I've been reading... What a crapass resolution to all of his heinous acts... Sounds like the writers pretty much made this asshole a martyr.
Hope my download finishes soon so that I can really check it out.

that has got to be some of the most fake blood ever.

The poor guy must've been a severe hemophiliac, that kool-aid/blood just kept on dripping and dripping .
His suicide just officially made the series beyond lame though, what kind of conflict resolution was that?
EDIT: you know...

I really wished that they had called the police on sousuke. That way he could've gone through rehab or something to work out his issues. Seeing him look through the photos and feeling his desperate desire to be in them, it was just too...sad.
To want something so badly but never being able to obtain it, not even knowing how to even try to attain it. What an immensely pathetic end of a life.
Even through all that michiru just laid there all night in the same position he left her in. That girl seriously cannot do anything for herself or for anyone else. I bet she's gonna run away after finding out that she's pregnant, it would do everyone some good though, esp. since she already ran out on ruka. Hopefully then she can find herself or whatever it is she needs to get her life and self together.
Props to the actors for playing out their roles well enough though, well at least some of the actors.

A martyr is someone who dies for a principle or ideal. sousuke is just a lost soul who couldn't find any reason to live on anymore. michiru was all he had, and after realizing what he had done to her and what can never be, well that was that. It was indeed a crapass resolution though..sigh

It's such a plot cliche for him the realize this AFTER he rapes her...
And then he kills himself with cherry 7-up....
In effect, the writers revolved the entire drama around this nutjob and NEVER really explained his actions.

I watched Ep. 9 with subs earlier today, and while there were a couple of shocking moments, I'm at a point where I'm having a hard time working up any type of reaction. It's frustrating to see the writers go for the shock value, yet hardly dig into the issues. It seems nothing improves given some of the reactions to Ep. 10 from those who have seen it already.
Watching Episode 10 progress, I realized (yet again) that Ruka's story and to some degree, Takeru's involvement with her were the most interesting and probably could've been a (good) drama unto itself...
Michiru's story is sad (in more ways than one) and pretty much shows zero growth/development/evolution... And what can you say about Sosuke that hasn't been said repeatly and angrily?
In all honesty, two meaningless characters that no one particularly gives a hoot about... Just a waste.
