No, I disagree. What he represented is what the writers strive to accomplish. What he did is what we, the viewers, are more partial, too. Therefore we hate more based on actions. Well, at least, I do.
I mean, Ruka is gender-confused and a lesbian. This is what she represents. People who are homophobic would hate her just for this. But look at her actions? She's a lovely human being, therefore people loved her character. They like her because of her actions.
At least for me, I stopped caring about him beating on Michiru. It just got repetitive and expected that my reaction was "there goes five minutes to waste". I find that much of the vehemence against Sousuke was not because he was a wife beater, but that the beatings went nowhere and just started wasting drama time.

Yay!! Experience fatigue! I'm sure that's what they were going for with the whole DV direction ;-) _________________

Good, no, great point.
It was a dead-end story with a brain-dead/cop-out conclusion.
it was an average dorama i guess. i give it a 7/10
I'm not good with words so... I just wanna say that these kind of doramas are not my cup of tea. Everyone just seems to be such a saint. Barely knowing each other and starts living together just like that. and then doing all these nice things without a single doubt or hesitation. all the forgiveness and stuff, yet no one seems to be shocked at the new facts they receive. I mean, i actually thought that Ruka's father

i felt that there was no climax, every episode was equal until the very last, just a bunch of secrets that make you want to know what they are so you keep on watching the episodes.

and the suicide thing was just dumb. hilarious.
Michiru's character was really stupid, i didn't even feel sorry for her until she left the jerk, and did she

. her acting wasn't good, but Masami was good at doing the "Ruka..." letter thing.
and except for her and especially that Ryo guy (does he ever get any role other than these cold-dude ones?), i loved the whole theme, casts, and Utada Hikaru's Prisoner of Love _________________

Well he was stunned... But it was established earlier that Ruka's family is a caring and supportive one, so their acceptance of her wasn't that unexpected...

I liked the song at the beginning, but it just tired me out, since it was played throughout the entire drama in various forms...

Aren't we starting to say the same thing...? _________________
Go Juri-chan! Nice to see her get some recognition and I certainly hope this is just a step toward greater things. She's really been on a roll it seems, pretty much since Swing Girls IMO.
As far as Ryo goes, well, congratulations. My opinion of his acting and his character in this drama still stands but he won, so congratulations to Ryo.
Looks like I'll be checking out Change as well, seeing as it won Best Drama.

One caveat: NikkanSports awards are basically popularity contests, so if Ryo or Kimutaku were in SOS or Kirakira Kenshui, they'd win an award.
Unfortunately, I don't see a change in outcome from their legitimate--awards. They were the same people to award Shingo Katori best actor for Shinsengumi, a role even his most die-hard fangirls admitted was performed badly. Guess the criteria for best actor now is popularity and not sucking, even though they made an exception on that for Shingo. These folks must think Arnold was cheated out of best actor for his role in Terminator?

Oh c'mon folks, if anything should be known by now, it's that the Nikkansports Awards are THE glorified popularity contest of the awards world (lest ye forget the clean sweep of Yukan Club a few seasons back).
Wait till the proper awards later on are awarded, I'm sure Eita & Juri will share their proper place.
