NEWS is too popular with the high school girls..
Mm. Actually, something has to be wrong.
I visit one English forum where I sometimes browse through some of the kidgroup-threads and when I saw there written a lot of the following:
"Oh Ryo is so damn hot when he's angry"
"I know I shouldn't say this but he's godly"
"I'm so jealous of Michiru"
so.. it's a total WTH-feeling because the DV-issue is something that I, having worked at a hospital years back (..and even if I hadn't), would never even think of making fun of.
And then saying something like that.. It's scary.
Though, that above probably explains the reason why I don't go to English JE-boards. _________________

^ And people wonder why people rag on the fangirls.
Let's see how they'd like it if they really had the stuffing kicked out them.

^^That makes alot of sense. At the bottom of the page under "See Also" there is a link to Domestic Violence. How ironic
See.. we can learn from J-dramas.
I actually volunteered during law school for a domestic violence project which gave legal information to people who sought temporary and permanent restraining orders against potential (and actual) abusers.
It's a very serious issue and it surprises me how poorly informed the general public is about it. It's also pretty complex and requires an investment of some time in research to understand how the cycle of abuse works. _________________

I noticed this at the preview for episode 3....
Click on button to reveal/hide spoiler:
When Sosuke was yelling and it showed the album picture of Ruka, he said, "This person is not a woman!!!" Could it be related to the theory about the surgery website she visited?

hoho..that part is quite kowaii and when Michiru looking Ruka for help all the word she said 'tasukete' , 'tasukete'
I don't quite understand why people are so keen on this transgender theory. Is it so hard to accept that a girl might actually like another girl? Only because Ruka went to the urology website doesn't at all mean that she is concidering that type of operation. She was planing a visit to gynecologist, after all. Who knows what exactly is going on with her.
I am actually quite surprised that no one had mentioned it yet in this thread. The script writers must have been huge Sailor Moon fans. They decided that Haruka and Michiru need their own show =) I wonder if, after running away from Sousuke, Michi is going to quit her job as hairdresser and will start painting pictures. After all, Ruka did have number 27 on her form...
Anyway, I just saw episode three... With each one it gets better and better! In first episode everything was just too... accidental to be believable. Now I am deeply involved in the plot. And, if Michi is going to return after _this_, I'm going to personally hit her =)

Awhile ago a forum member ranted about the 'negative feelings' of the general (forum) public towards fandom. Actually I, for one, don't mind fans as long as their fanaticism is built on talent, be it acting, singing, or anything other form of performance. It's those 'he's sooooo cute...' comments that make me dub those fans BDFG (Brain Dead Fan Girls). The above post has an excellent sample of BDFG behavior.
To current and potential fans - try to see past the good (?) looks before latching yourself onto an artiste and claim to be his/her fan. You may actually be doing your idol a disservice if you act like you have no brain cells.
