But the special does have some new scenes doesnLt it??? Most SP are just recaps but they normally have some few new and original scenes.

Only for like 5%, very very little. I think it's even worse than Last Friends SP. At least LF SP has some story in it...

Some of the best SP I've seen so far, with new stories and new twists have got to be Nodame Cantabile, Proposal Daisakusen (the side story is more fascinating than the main couple!), and also not forgetting Unfair.

After Team Samurai Japan's recent victory at the WBC I think this movie will do quite well.

You'll have to wait because the movie hasn't hit the theaters yet. The "Haruka" single will also be released at the end of the month when the movie is out. (5/30)

Lolol a very funny video lolol.

Just watched the trailler of the movie and became even more pumped up for this.
Looks like Wakana hurt his finger Shake Head ...heLs my favorite character.
Anyway this is gonna be awesome canLt wait to watch it.

Looks like japanese people donLt like to take video cameras to the theatre, so the only way to watch japanese movies is when they are out on DVD: Crows Zero 2, Drop and now Rookies Shameful Cry

I've seen bits and pieces of this drama when it was broadcast (with subs) here in SoCal and I'm totally unimpressed: yet another story about a bunch of misfit pretty boys whipped into shape by a determined teacher/coach... Tired

^ Hmm that's what I initially thought of this drama too. But for a shopworn storyline, it's very well executed. Great direction and compelling performances, especially from Ichihara Hayato. Loved his tough guy drawl, and he was very different from the oblivious character in Rainbow Song (the only movie I've seen him in thus far). I guess adding the Japanese addiction to baseball really makes all the difference! Nut

Seriously though, I don't really consider Rookies an ikemen drama because most of the guys casted in this drama aren't even really that good looking...and if they are, they're all bruised and bloodied up most of the time. Not a pretty sight. Maybe that's one of the perks of this drama--it's not afraid to go all out.

Sometimes Sato Ryuta's left something to be desired, but he was so stupidly optimistic you can't help but cheer for the guy. I guess what really appealed to me was that these guys weren't just trying to make a drama about delinquents with no direction in their life, but a drama about the anguish of losing that which anchors you down in life. This drama actually renewed my interests in baseball. Went out to buy some mitts with my brother afterwards Bonk

I just hope the movie doesn't turn into the snoozefest that was HanaDan Final Sweat

I watched the whole show and I'd have to agree. I do have to say that it was good in comparison to Gokusen 3, which aired at the same time, at least.
