I'm currently on ep 8 of Mawang, so that means I can watch the first couple episodes of Maou- and hopefully finish up Mawang before the I get super far behind with Maou.

I'm already really excited to watch the first couple eps since the reviews seem to have all been rather positive.

i totally love the first episode!! toma was great.. ^__^

Only one episode is subbed currently so there's still time to catch up. Some wouldn't recommend to watch both at the same time but it has helped me watch the Japanese remake without subs. I still can feel the suspense in Maou even though I spoiled myself rotten with Mawang. So far, Maou lives up to the hype imo.

finished watching episode 2, although the subs were kinda off with the timing during the 2nd half..don't know if the flaw is with the subs or my downloaded raw file..
anyways, as expected this episode was totally unpredictable..

at first i really thought that Ohno's next target was Toma's dad but then it just took a big turn halfway the episode..sure is a wise plan he plotted..using the child to manipulate the mother is really terrible..

and got to agree with the others, the last scene was really creepy!! well besides Ohno, somehow the bear doll also carried that eerie atmosphere..

can't wait for episode 3!!

I finally had the time for watching the 1st episode.
Serizawa's often impatient and it annoys me in someway.
still I'm glad Toma got a more mature role here.
Good pilot episode, the 1st half was a bit boring... the 2nd half - i was thrilled!!!

Naruse's vengeance on Serizawa was cool. His love for his brother made him act like 'that', of course he has his reasons, thought it was for good... but i call it APPARENT GOODNESS. The tarot cards warning, reenacment scene, the tons of red envelope and the Nino's apperance - - i'm loving it

Mystery-suspense dramas hook me a lot. I think i'll continue watching this.

all 3 softsubs hurt your eyes? i love the fonts by suketeru though but akusub's more accurate. sakurai-storm is ok too but there's one phrase in episode 2 of her translation that bothers me

after naoto's father acknowledge Naruse as the angelic lawyer, instead of "i can be a devil .. blabla" it became "i WISH i can become a devil.. blabla".

maybe i misread the subs but that totally messed up the atmosphere of the scene. (yes, i rewatch all the different subs.. plus all video resolution available )
if Stormy Team reading, I truly appreciate the hi-def hardsubbed vid but your fonts are pretty ugly and I don't appreciate the capslocking for the screaming dialogue. please improve on the next episode.

anyways, i think the highlight of this episode is somehow bringing back into serizawa's memory the tragic incident that happened in the past..you can totally see from toma's face the shock he felt.. and we'd get to know that shiori is connected to the incident too..

it just keeps getting better and better!! waiting for the raws and subs!!

It says the subs were by IceFight.

This may be a dumb question, but how come some subbers don't want them to be uploaded to streaming sites? Isn't downloading just as illegal as streaming sites? x__x

its because streaming is done more publicly and risk of getting caught is much higher especially if it is uploaded on to famous streaming sites like youtube, veoh & crunchy. the companies tend to track down on streaming vids rather than download sites (ddl / torrent) which are a bit more exclusive to fans and can be claimed as "for personal use only" although it is still illegal.

What do you guys think of Naruse & Shiori? I hope they will go further on the romance arc.

She even confesses to him about her powers.. and that didn't happen in the original and i'm loving it! You can see Naruse felt guilty for using her.

This series is quite serious and dark so a bit of romance will do it good.

i watched i thought is was okay they did a good job as there characters so I am good with that
but aboutto watch episode 2 to see what happened next
and nino even if it was a short part did okay
