Just watched the third episode and I'm about ready to give up on the series. This episode had the same theme going once again, which was really, really annoying, and there wasn't much of a resolution either. There was a little spark where I thought the drama would get better, but it fell back into its running theme. It's pretty much just a "case of the week" type of show so far, with very little character development.

Yuck. bleh

Well, that's just my take on the drama. Who knows, perhaps you will find it enjoyable Victory! Peace! Also, the drama is only three episodes in, so perhaps there's something much more exciting and interesting to come ahead, and what I've seen so far is merely a slow, annoying build-up. I plan to wait until the drama is finished, then just read reviews from those who have seen it to get an idea of whether or not I should finish watching.

I just grabbed the subs from D-addicts for Episode 6... and found out that the subber has put the subbing "on hold". Bang Head I hate it when they do that Sad

I have noticed that there are Japanese subs posted there too. I wonder how hard it would be to translate them Head Scratch

Did they give a reason?

Now for the bad news.

Looks like this series will have to be put on a bit of a back-burner for me. I've gotten increasingly busy in my personal life, which naturally puts pressure on my ability to translate episodes. Since I am currently working on two series at the moment, what with everything else going on, it's begun catching up with me.

To help close the gap, I have been using the close captioning from jdrama.cc for this series since it would take me more than twice as long to translate each episode otherwise. However, jdrama.cc will be down for the next couple of weeks. Since I am likely to just be getting busier moving forward, I just can't spare that sort of time anymore. As a result, I'm going to have to put "Monster Parent" on hold for awhile. Once the CC's from there return for the last two episodes (since there will be total of 10), I'll try my best to at least squeeze those in. After that, I'll go back and fill in the missing episodes, but it may take quite awhile.

Since "Monster Parent" is such an episodic series, with little or no character development within each episode, it shouldn't be too bad. Getting at least the last episodes done will answer what few questions there are for the characters without missing out on too much. Still, I hate having to set it aside...

Thank you for your patience!

I've just realised the Japanese subs rely on the close captioning from jdrama.cc also, so unless the guy(?) from there can get around to it, the Japanese subs won't be happening either Sad

Just a quick note to day Ep. 9 subs are up at d-addicts. Haruspex is as good as his word, at least. Hopefully 7 & 8 will get done eventually Fingers crossed

Uh, shouldn't Episodes 7 and 8 be done before Episode 9 or is this a new fansubber counting scheme? Head Scratch

Haruspex is translating Japanese subs, and the Japanese subber was away for 2 weeks. I think he has to get ahold of copies of those eps since he normally records them and provides the subs the same week.. Maybe he will do the missing eps once the season is over Fingers crossed

I just checked D-Addicts: Still no subs for Episodes 7 and 8. Shake Head

There ought to be a ratings system/list for fansubbers: quality, reliability, etc.
