The song is lovely. Toda stare right at the beginning of the clip kinda made my heart skipped a beat. No wonder Ryo seems smitten by her.
I've just suggested the clip in the Jdorama page. Hopefully it'll get a quick approval . The song isn't listed in the theme song yet though. Its just "Beautiful Days"...

I've really enjoyed Kudokan's past dramas (IWGP and Tiger and Dragon are two of my favs) so when I heard he was writing this one, I had to give it a shot.
Ironically though when I sat down to watch it all I could remember was the dark sounding synopsis and was thrown off by the really cheery opening (seriously, the opening reminded me of those campy 90's TGIF sitcoms- I half expected to hear the theme song to "Full House" as the cast flitted around the restaurant.) and all the humour coming through- then I remembered the writer and it all made sense.
So far so good, I'm not ridiculously blown away, but I was sufficently entertained and highly amused at some parts. I'm hoping it will only get better.
wow first episode ratings are 21.2%!! The highest for friday 10pm dramas since 2000!! xDD
huwow!!!!!! that's amazing!! hopefully the high ratings will be sustained through out the drama.
it was the first time i tried keyhole last friday. i saw that there were around 900 viewers on TBS. hahhahaa. a lot of people were anticipating RnK huh.

Same feeling here! I wasn't fully convinced, but it was good enough to check out episode 2.

^ no, we are all bias
Its too early to judge anyways..
There's a lot of great dramas you'll miss by trying to evade the rich sea of glorious JE like Tiger & Dragon, Yasashii Jikan, Nobuta wo Produce, 1 Litre of Tears.. Maou (ok.. slightly bias for my adopted drama ).. but yeah. Sorry, for your lost.
ironically im a JE fan myself.. but too much JE is

I can, but I won't say it's good. The overall story for episode 1 is enjoyable, and the comedy is acceptable. I'd say it's okay. Can't beat Maou's (no, I am not bias, go watch it yourself.) idea and intensity though.
so its a feel good drama? ok.. give it a shot...
anyway since its comedy.. i wouldnt see Ryo-chan glaring all the time
ironically im a JE fan myself.. but too much JE is
...in other words you are in the "cool" crowd
good luck finding the dramas then. try asadora. no JE working in those (except for Ryo-CHAN when he was small..). I haven't watched a lot of dramas but most of the JE populated dramas I've seen are great without even the need to be biased.

....finally got to watch ep 1.
imo....ep 1 was beautifully scripted, giving the audience the heart wrenching backgound of "we will definitely kill him". love this deep drama with the cynical comedic twist thrown in. can't wait for ep 2.

the part where young nino, ryo, and erika were crying in the park, regretting sneaking out of the house the day their parents were killed, made me cry
i love ryo's fun and loving character in this drama.
so different from his sousuke character.
i can't wait til friday when episode 2 comes out!!! _________________
