^ yup. still waiting for confirmation on the theme song. There were rumors saying its Away by Arashi but I think its only 2ch talks or some Japanese blog speculations. Maybe the song is from Girl Next Door since she's starring in it?
This drama looks pretty promising with wacky and heartwarming feel to it. Ohno constantly looked angry... I bet he'll be a happier Utaoni by the end of it
I hope people will tuned to Asahi after watching Love Shuffle (another drama I'm looking forward to)

I think dorama lovers are probably going to love Fridays! There's the always popular Hissatsu Shigotonin on Asahi at 9, then Love Shuffle on TBS at 10, then Uta no Oniisan at 11! _________________

According to arashi@vox, the theme song is a solo song from Ohno as Yano Kenta!
Its a first for Ohno... maybe a single by "Yano Kenta" like Erika Sawajiri did as "Kaoru Amane" for Taiyo no Uta. Interesting..
Added: According to enshinge, Ohno, Maru & Katase Nana sang the theme song for the children show in Utaoni (Papepopi.. sumthing) during the press con. So watch out for clips on them! Can't wait for Utaoni day tomorrow

...i really enjoyed watching "maru" act in this - i've not seen him in any drama series that i know of. his compassionate sweet nature comes through as seen in ep 1. hope it continues.
as ever "mr. maou" has his maou moments which is great
all in all i did enjoy ep 1.....
I love the cast!
Katase Nana "Naku naku! Naku naku!" speech was amazing
The Prince over the top smile+wink cracked me up everytime
Love the "Momotaro-san, kiri dango" song btw
Ohno and his tv father looked like real father & son. They have the same frown. Maybe they willed themselves to look similar..

Well, this is really Maru's first series. He only starred in drama SPs before. It's a delight watching him like that, he was such an emo kid in Jitensha Shonenki! _________________

I'm also anticipating more about Akane & Kenta. Its weird how Akane is still in love with Kenta yet betrayed him so cruelly. Furthermore, Kenta still care for her. Some flashback romance scenes are certainly welcomed.
ok.. i'm hoping the romance scenes between Kenta & Akane will ONLY be flashbacks. Her character is really rubbing me off the wrong way.

about the ex crying.. i think the writers trying to make us feel sorry for her so we'll accept Akane/Kenta together.
Totally backfired!
They just can't erase the fact that Akane agreed to back stabbed her own boyfriend and take over HIS band. I don't even think there's enough plot devices that can save this character from being hated.
I'll be really impressed if they can prove me wrong though. (but the truth is, I really want Manabe/Kenta instead )
