I suspect things will get worse before they get better, that is if they ever will. I mean, sometimes life sucks, and bad things do happen to good people. I'm not against non-Hollywood style endings, but given the current social and economic climate, I'd be really surprised if the ending is not a happy one. | xploring wrote: | | Toward the end, it felt heavy to watch and I am not really looking forward to the next episode judging from the preview even though it's the logical continuation... Another good episode though. |

Eh?! You guys don't like "Papier" by Moriyama Ryoko from Haikei Chichiue-sama? It's so charming! hehe

Anyway, Nozomi-chan's response in the above article was sooo cute! And I have to agree with everyone here, Abe-san's facial expressions are priceless. I wonder if the director wanted Abe-san to put a little comedic twist on it, or if it was his own interpretation of the character. In either case, it really makes the drama that much more enjoyable!

Such a good drama deserves to have a lot more discussion and comments; however, this will be my last post on this site. | Takoyama wrote: | | Anyone willing to share their thoughts on last night's episode? |

My favourite scenes are at the end when Sachi visits Haruo; I think you'll have to be pretty much dead not to be touched. Abe Hiroshi really shows off his acting chops; if he doesn't get the best actor award at the drama academy after the end of this season I'd be really pissed.

The downside was the chief director being back at the helm, which means the return of more repetitive flashbacks and a more heavy handed approach.

BTW I wonder if the giraffe reference was put in at the last minute because of what happened on Warette Iitomo - Haru SP.

Yeah, they seem to do that for all dramas... They're pretty much spoilers.

The directing didn't bother me in the first 4 episodes but it felt awkward for a number of scenes in this one. Acting is still top-notch, but I am starting find this a bit ordinary. Apart from Haruo and Murakami, the rest of the characters ... well, they are just there to progress the plot, it seemed to me. I think we will find out more about Kanako and Shiori later on, but still... Sachi's attachment to Haruo seemed too much based on the time they spent together. I guess it could be put down to their relationship but I cannot be convinced with that reasoning alone.
I was very surprised by the preview for the next episode. Still looking forward to it, but with the slow pace, that last scene of the preview will probably be at the end of next episode.

And yours? I am interested too.

I think the pacing of the story is good. The growing relationship between Haruo and Sachi is keeping me interested. As Taroqq stated in a previous post why do I have the feeling this will end in heartbreak? I hope I'm wrong. I personally think this is one of the best shows for this season.
