Hi hi minna-san!
This wasn't Kimura-kun's best dorama but I love the opening song... It just gives me goosebumps... It added to the excitement for the dorama. haha!
Gomen but...frankly the cases weren't as interesting as HERO, but the last few episodes were okay. I like the cliffhanger in EP 7... I thought they're going to do another SP after the ending of EP 8 but I guess not... Shingo's role was so stupid and funny... *lolz*
But I love the Banana 'under the table' thing going on... So cute when it was the turn of the chief to do it. *lol* I also love the sound of Kimura-kun's laughter... hahahahahaha... He looked so happy~
Sorry I'm not so familiar with other Japanese [edited] Artists I can't remember their names, I mix up the pronunciation of their names coz I read them in Chinese... and I just get to know them if they appear in Kimura-kun's doramas... I always saw someone named Santamaria in SMAPxSMAP and I wonder if that was the same guy in ep 7-8? Anyway, that guy's kind of interesting...

Hi All,
I finally watched episode 8 (finale). I said it before and I'll say it again, I like this drama! Of course it is always nice to watch Kimura Takuya! He has such a charming appeal. I don't watch too many American forensic, detective, murder mystery TV shows because they usually have too much blood and gore in them for my taste. Mr Brain had just the right amount of mystery, scientific technology and humor to hold my interest.
I liked Ichikawa Ebizo's intensity. He is the strong silent type in this drama. He must have smiled when they handed him his scripts. Not too many lines to learn. Not sure but I think those are the same distinct eyes he has had since he was young.
I am looking forward to more of this drama when it continues.
P.S. @Peg - Nice to meet a fellow former Long Islander. I have to keep the flower avatar because I can't choose which actor's pic I would like there best. There are so many good looking ones to choose from.
P.S.S.@yanaliao - I am sure you meant no harm or offense by using it, but the word Jap isn't considered to be polite on JDorama. There is a whole thread here that discusses the topic to explain why. Here is the link:

I just love Kimura san in his Mr. Brain role. I am glad ihe is cheerful and funny for a change.
I was wondering if they had any NGs in the Kimura/Shingo scene when they had their faces so close. It must have been a challenge for Kimura not to give his pal a great big kiss on his cheek. They do that in the concerts and it is funny and gives everyone a good feeling.
Just noted that Kenji Sakaguchi has been off making a DVD about surfing. I knew he was a sportsman but did not realise he was such an avid surfer. Apparently he travelled miles all over the coastline of Japan and the DVD will be out soon. I guess Kimura will be wanting to watch that. Kenji was the goalkeepeer in the drama PRIDE with Kimura.

@brad2: I sent you a PM (private message) as to where you can see episodes 7 & 8 of Mr Brain. Check your Inbox. OK I admit it, I am clueless...What does NG stand for? Yes you spelled entirety correctly. I liked Pride! The theme song was very uplifting!

I'm sorry I didn't know... I seldom post so please excuse me for that one. I just abbreviated the word. No harm or offense meant. Gomenasai.

Hi Enna, NG stands for NO GOOD takes. ^^
@brad2: it should be fun to see some NG takes of Mr. Brain because Kimura-kun's character kept on staring his co-stars so near that they should get so conscious... Most especially the chief officer "tanban san" (don't know if I pronounced it right 'coz I was watching the Chinese subs). I like the scenes of Kimurakun and the police officer, sooo funny~

Hi yanaliao,
Thanks for your answer. We call NG 'out takes' or if they are funny we call them 'bloopers.'
Yes I knew you meant no intentional offense with the abbreviation of the word Japanese.

Yay another good Kimu drama, I have watched a fair few of his dramas so far and none of them, so far have bored me, I've enjoyed them all ^^
I liked this he was a bit different to usual, he was kinda quirky I liked it.
The show wasn't my fave of all his shows but I did really enjoy it, most of the cases were really interesting and there were some really big stars making cameo appearances. My favourite 2 were probably Gackt and Nakama Yukie, I think both did superbly with there roles, even though Gackt really only had a very small part, his character was really very memorable.
I loved Tanabara his character was really cool and I loved the way his reationship developed with Tsukumo =D
The ending was funny with the editing of the book that was hillarious and yes of course Tsukumo's laugh for the win! I want it on my phone XD
Anyway I really enjoyed it =D _________________ Anata no subete wo shitte imasu - MC KAMIYAMA

@ ScrappedShingami: I loved Detective Tanbara too! And his chemistry with Kimura was WAY better than Kimura and Ayase's, which was zeeeelch.

And I wonder what Mr Brain told his assistant that made her smile at the end? |

I know what you mean. That's probably because his last two drama roles were of the "Unlikely Hero Who Saves the Day" template, which began with HERO. Other templates of his would be the "Tom Cruise" roles (PRIDE, ENGINE, GOOD LUCK!), the "Serious Actor" roles (SORA KARA, KAREI, GIFT, NEMURERU MORI), and of course, the "KimuTaku as LoveSexMagic Golden God" roles, lol (LOVE GEN, LONG VACATION). (And then there's BEAUTIFUL LIFE, which is a bit of an anomaly because it's his only melodrama.) I really wish he'd go back to doing romantic dramas, because that's what he does head and shoulders above everyone else, methinks.

Ohhh your poor brain... I agree, Nakama Yukie turned in the best performance among a lackluster field of guest stars *cough* Kame *cough* Aibu Saki *cough*.
For what it's worth, my MR. BRAIN review:
